It is great having my own team. Now I was wondering if anyone can tell me how long it will take for the Giants to build a decent roster and challenge for a flag?
Blue and black would easily be the best colours for West Sydney to se. Blue is used by Canterbury, Parramatta and Black by Wests and Penrith in the NRL. Would make sense to stick with something people are used to, also the NSW Blues obviously are blue. Makes perfect sense, also would add to the...
I have been waiting for a team in West Sydney for some time now and finally I am going to get it. I wonder who the major signing will be? Will they play all the games at Olympic Park? We know the coach, how will he do? Will they have an emblem if so what will it be?
Exciting times for the...
LOL, the Swans and the Lions are the only reason whythe AFL made so much on TV rights (hence the push for more teams in both states:rolleyes:) so they help the game as a whole to prosper. North Melbourne and teams that have little to no support are useless to the AFL and would be better off...
Its best to go the way we are going and start new teams in both Sydney and the Gold Coast. Eventually a few Melbourne teams will be forced to merge or die. Its whats best for the game. Natural selection
Bloody oath, would be fantastic.
We really need a strong team in west Sydney, hopefully we can get some good talent. Maybe we might actually see an entertaining team play out of Sydney:p
When you idiots from Melbourne learn its not about killing off other sports but simply promoting your own Aussie Rules will become a huge sport in both NSW and QLD.
Have some respect for other states traditions and culture or they will have little for your own
I am a supporter of the game and go to watch Sydney when I get the chance. Certainly I want a team in West Sydney and can't wait for it.
However there is a problem.
Last time I went to a Collingwood vs Sydney game I was shocked by the behaviour of some of their fans. Even an old lady...
So you have no worries with the AFL promoting Rugby League (footy/football as it is known there) for young people in QLD?
You are indeed a strange person
I'm over the rubbish the NRL is dishing up now days, my club is ____ed (Bulldogs) and there is no hope for a few other Sydney clubs even surviving. I'll convert to an AFL team if I just get one
It all depends on where they play. If they play at ANZ they will get small crowds, terrible place to watch any kind of footy. If they build a stadium that has the fans on top of the action and with easy public transport and parking they will pack the place weekly
I'll be supporting West Sydney for certain. Never really liked the Swans but thats all that I got. Will be getting membership and buying my first guernsey. Can't wait for it
Anyone got any news about the new team and it can go in here.

All this poll proves is that Vics still are jealous of being the second best state in Australia right behind NSW.
Don't worry little brother, we'll look after you:D
Its simple as this mate.
Its a better spectacle to view RL on TV as the action all go's on in a confined area and can be seen as well if not better on TV. AFL however is much different, you need to be at the game to see what is going on and it certainly isn't much to watch on TV.
LOL! They put on a lot of extra trains for the Swans ANZ stadium games. Try lining here for a while and you will see why we complain about public transport. Thankgod I don't have to put up with that anymore
I used to go to the Showground to watch the Bulldogs (my NRL team)when they used to play their. Was good atmosphere but too far from the ground. Although with AFL it would be much better as the whole ground would be used.
I garuntee if it is there I will a season ticket holder as its easy to...
