I’m off to see Mufusa with my lady this Xmas eve. Different as they get older innit? Younger one is with her mum so Dad duties on hold.

Very relaxed this Xmas I must admit 🎅🏽

Christmas

When you're a kid: All about the presents and chocolate/lollies/treats.

When you're a young adult: Boozing it up and having time off.

When you're middle aged: The food and making sure others enjoy it as much as they can - especially kids, and spending time with your loved ones.

I'm not sure what the focus becomes in old age - probably the loved ones. Hope I make it there.

Get to spend Christmas with my granddaughter tomorrow

She was still in Karratha last year at Christmas so didn’t see her until later

This year they’ve come down earlier so get to see her wake up me up tomorrow

It’s another spin on Christmas that makes it exciting again for a jaded old campaigner

Watched the very Christmasy movie Dune Part 2 last night.

Loved it, such a unique visual style they are going with. The whole scene on the Harkonnen world (black and white, it’s supposed to depict the black sun of the world) was beautifully done.

I do see, if you aren’t already familiar with the story, how it would be a hard movie to follow. But I’ve read the first couple of books a couple times before and am a fan.

9/10

I read the books as a teenager in drab 70's London. Mind. Blown.

Was also the first time I became aware of the word 'jihad'. Seems like a lifetime ago - I guess it is...
