Since some prick decided to leak the messages, the club has come out and confirmed that Hunter is taking some leave from the club for personal reasons.

Western Bulldogs midfielder Lachie Hunter will take an indefinite leave of absence from the Club while he deals with personal issues.
The Club will support Lachie as he works through some individual challenges, which have affected his health and wellbeing.
“Lachie has been dealing with some personal issues for a period of time. After some recent internal discussions, it has been determined and agreed with Lachie that the best course of action is for him to spend some time away from the Club while he addresses his personal issues,” said Western Bulldogs Head of Football, Chris Grant.
“We will continue to support Lachie during his leave of absence, with his personal wellbeing the sole focus for everyone in the immediate term.
“During this period of absence from the football program Lachie will not play at either AFL or VFL level.
“We expect that Lachie’s privacy will be respected during this period.”

I hope Lachie is okay and gets whatever space and help he needs to deal with whatever personal issues he has.

Only love and support to one of our 2016 Premiership heroes and legends.

No need for anyone to know what those issues are, I’m sure the important people at the club know and can help Lachie in whatever way he needs. If that’s just time off football for now to have the space and time to deal with whatever is happening then that’s the best thing.

The issue is that a player (or someone in that message) is leaking confidential club information to a 3rd party.

But It's not a great look that the kennel can't seem to keep a secret.
Unauthorised releasing of personal information should be a sackable offence. It is in most workplaces.

What if the perpetrator isn't responsible for any previous leaks? I've read several comments on different platforms by persons who seem to suggest it's the same person responsible for all leaks.

If it's a repeat offender, at least we can say it's not a cultural issue. If it becomes an ongoing issue with numerous persons responsible for leaks, that becomes a cultural issue which is potentially worse.

Yeah I'm not sure. I think the point was that it got out somewhere first and then the club put out the info.
