Undoubtedly improved and he’s going to be a good fallback across the year as probably our 4th best key defender for the time being. Logues slow start to the year might see him play again next week

Man..

I thought Tex did his best work around the 50 metre arc and when they got us on the spread. Took a couple of great marks, but hardly a monstering.

Pink was decent, not a standout/worldbeater but for the most part did his job.
100%

Ross Glendenning wouldnt have stopped Tex the times he got an easy one from our turnovers.

He actually kicked a couple from shithouse ruckwork or was that Pink’s fault too?

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but when someone is so confidently and conceitedly wrong, and drones on and on and on about it endlessly, it's so tiresome.

Heard biggies doing great things out at ballarat!

Seriously though tes is now a backup for darling.
That's a reasonable discussion. I think Tess is the better ruck but Finbar the better pack mark. Given our forward 50 entries I lean toward Finbar if X is playing unencumbered. I shudder tho think what it looks like if X is not availble.

Dunno. Its possibly Nostrals McZeebles knows footy better than master coach clarko...

"Clarko: I thought Pink did a pretty good job, but Tex (Walker) still kicked four."

Alternatively we could fix our entries, there was a period in the 3rd when we actually had a few good entries where the forwards provided some movement which provided a few goals. But alas we lapsed back into being turnover merchants soon afterwards.

Pink didn’t go head to head in the Ruck with Tex for 2 of those. Both Darling and X can take the blame for those

Flogged!

If it makes you feel better we won’t be talking about pink next week in the afl

So at least a bit of silence going forward in this thread
Apart from getting flogged by Tex he played well. Lots backs have been thru that.

Yes I would
Rhj adds nothing

I’d rather go back to the 3 talls structure and letting darling stay forward

but save that for the other thread
The difference between our score this week and the last two was about what RHJ contributed.

He was poor today but it also shows ... No Robbie No North!

If he plays on logan mcdonald he will completely towel him up.

Logan McDonald is shite. Bang average key forward, no better than Van Rooyen who did next to f all last week.

If we lose in the middle there’s a chance he kicks a few, but he’s not one to worry about off the back of his own work.

Starting to adjust to AFL level a bit better now and more of a belief that he belongs.

Did well on Tex today and in the backline in general IMO.

I'd like to see Logue back in and Comben to CHF, where he should be. We still need a CHF taking grabs forward of centre and the wing. Pink has shown that the move can be made

Literally just about any monkey can play loose across the backline and do decent so don't think he can't be replaced. His aerial presence needed in the FWD half is being lost to the role he has had needed to play. Pink is showing enough for me to be confident Com to CHF again

Logan Mac still coming back from injury and will not be picked. They will most likely roll with Amartey (Corr) and McCleans (Chom) as their talls. Will be interesting to see if they persist with Ladhams/Grundy from their last game against Freo. Pink will keep his spot this week IMHO.

To be fair that forwward line is scary. Tilthorpe, Tex and Fogerty all require attention and gives you little help from help defenders.
Pink i dont think is on our list next year but he served his role today

Efforts like the last 2 weeks will have him on the list next year. It’s probably him or K Dawson. Won’t need them both.

Well after the VFL team performance yesterday only players you would consider would be Whitlock Hardeham maybe Teakle or louge if his right to go.
So who goes out dare say Hansen possibly Pink and Stephens .

Any chance you can spell our player's names correctly?
