Get outta here with that Bull. You guys reckon Dawson ain't a midfielder?

Rozee - Rd 3 - 3 contested possessions, 19 uncontested possessions
Rozee - Rd 2 - 10 Contested possessions, 29 uncontested possessions.

Dawson Rd 1 - 4 contested possessions, 23 uncontested possessions
Dawson Rd 2 - 10 contested possessions, 23 uncontested possessions.

Both are All Australian midfielders as demonstrated when they led their team in CBA's in 2023 and made the All Australian team. (yes Laird had a few more CBA's than Dawson - but the point still stands.).
The threshold for reasoning is much lower when making fun of Port

Sure, he's been better so far, but right now Dawson and Izak are ahead of him (which is not particularly hard, given the injury, but I'd say it's true even when fit).

Butters was better IMO than both players in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

So what's your measure of better? Dawson and Rankine have higher ceilings and I'm fairly certain will hit them. And are doing so this year.

Better football player the last 3 years. His best is better than anything Dawson and Rankine have produced in a season.

Now in one game - gimme Izak.

Now in what measure are Dawson or Rankine better than Butters?

Agreeing with another poster, completely. I'll actually stand by that though. If you think Geelong don't massage contracts then I have a bridge to sell you. I have good reason to believe it, having acquaintances in the real estate business who have passed on some very entertaining info at times, and yes, pertaining to Geelong the footy club, ...and to Richmond.
I've heard the same, but I don't think they will find anything in Geelongs books, it's all 3rd party.

Nah, they will belt the Saints.

Like Richmond.

Nothing surer. They'll get based from pillar to post this week for that performance, which will fire them up, before a match up at home and against who is allergic to South Australia. Will be a right thumping.

Tex Walker is an amazing field kick both feet.

Fog and Dawson are two players that can kick with both feet as well

Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

Fog is better than Tex when it comes to hitting up teammates on his left, Tex is more powerful and better at getting through the sticks. Eddie Betts was awesome on his left.

He had 20 CBA's for the entirety of 2024. The most he played was a half a quarter on the ball in round 24 against Sydney.
So 1970 was correct - you could have just said that

I guess so.

But why stop there. If Keays played a little bit of midfield in 2024 - then Max was also a midfielder in 2024. Borlase and Gollant were technically ruckman in 2024 as well.
Now you're on track

Reilly O'Brien is equally as good on his left as his right foot - you would never know what his preferred foot was watching him kick

I always thought Rory was alright, his biggest issue later on for him was trying to find the "perfect option" and ending up getting caught HTB. I always thought that was on our coaching not to have him at least dump kick when nothing was on.

Is what it is though, I was happy for him to net a decent FA payday via GC as that was what FA was sold to us as, role players at clubs, switching and getting better than average money, like Danyle Pearce when he went to you guys.

In saying this, I reckon he is a better option than 15 of the players playing last night for Port
I was lookin' at Rory Atkins stats. Was from the 2012 draft. That wasn't a strong draft year. Didn't play In 2013 or 2014. Got a debut game in round 18 aged 21 years and 7 days.

Played in every game after round 19 to both crows 2015 finals.

Atkins at the crows seemed like a solid versatile rotation player. 185 Cm and 85 kg. Yes he is a midfielder but could play on a flank. He wasn't the worst crow to play for you guys. Not even close.

I agree. If guys like him have other clubs offering more money or years or both when they are free agents, why not take it?

Hell even at 30 or 31 years old, I would fit Atkins in freos best 23 at the moment.

I agree about Danyle Pearce . I didnt mind him at Freo. The dockers fans on Bigfooty always sank the boots on him. He left Port at the end of 2012.

I dont blame him leaving Port for Freo at the time. Port in 2012 were horrible. Dockers narrowly lost to you crows in a semi final.

Thats about right

Most people - mine included - felt he didnt ''go'' when it was his time ie a few non-tackle efforts marked his book heavily

More seagull than anything
