Yeah, no way a first and third. If we could do something like pick 8 + later pick for pick 18 and Metcalf then that's something I'd probably consider given I'm looking to trade back anyway.

It’ll take maybe 5 super bowls for me to change my mind about Tepper.

Did hear Jordan Rodrigue say the other day that she’s heard he’s taken a big step back and changed his approach though this past season, which was nice (and completely necessary).
 
I know we need safety help and Holland is an excellent player dont get me wrong, but 15-20m year is a LOT of money for a safety (aka: the defensive version of running backs) . Would prefer we spent that sort of cash on the D-line.

Now, you can easily counter me by saying there is no one of Holland's quality and age on the D-Line in free agency worth giving that same sort of money to and you'd be absolutely right.

Long story short, I dont know how to feel about it. :tearsofjoy: I suppose its not like we are paying a strong safety who struggles in pass coverage that sort of money, Holland is great in coverage so its probably fine.

Yeah it’s too much money to spend on luxury position like safety.
But with all players resigning with own team before free agency starts the free agent pool is shrinking is their anyone to spend that sort of money left that is realistic chances to come to panthers.

Im a bit flat after that, with the Seattle ties of Morgan and Canales I thought we were a very good chance. Probably stupid of me in hindsight given the Panthers never trade in stars, they just trade them away.

Yeah, I also wanted him but could’ve meant no Jaycee extension and another year of the defence being garbage. Doesn't mean we can’t pick up a serviceable vet in FA.

I'd rather we didn't sign any of the remaining WRs in free agency, absolute trash out there and waste of cap space.
 
Thoughts on Jihad Campbell EFL Boy & Constantgin ? Hes starting to become the guy I want most I think now Green and Pearce have likely ruled themselves out of contention, to me hes easily the better choice out of him and Jalon Walker. Campbell a longer quicker version, think he has some decent pass rushing capabilities.
 
Pretty underwhelming signings for decent money, not really pumped for anyone..

A lot of people seem to like Moehrig but I had my heart set on Holland.
I think Brown probably is the best from a needs POV given he is a very good IDL run defender, but hard to get excited about a nose tackle.
Wharton has potential and I dont mind him, ~16m a year though seems a bit steep.
Never really a fan of Patrick Jones dating back to his draft year, clean up sack guy more than anything.

Glad we didnt try and match the Pats on Milton Williams, thats ****ing crazy money for a guy who has pretty much been a rotation player up til now. 3rd highest paid DT in the league now! Crazy.

See how it plays out.

I like them both just don’t like them in top 10 or even top 15 if you could move back to 16 or later still grab either I’d prefer that.

Think with how he worked out as an edge rusher at the combine he will be pushing top 10
 
For prospects for panthers if stay at 8 graham, Carter, Warren and tac only 4 i would want in top 8 otherwise trade down.

Cant see it being Warren with Tremble re-signed. Thats partly why I was so down on the re-signing the other day. I agree, I would have had him up there otherwise.

Maybe tremble resigning is ploy so no one thinks they are in on Warren. Stops someone jumping then for him

I could have seen Warren and JT Sanders being a thing. Warren, JT and Tremble not so much, very crowded room.
