Hah yes, that's how I look at it :)

Only because you deliberately "misunderstood" his.

We were talking about his nom being a whore, I didn't care about a song he considered nomming, that was never the topic. No deliberately misunderstanding anything on my part. I was only ever talking about Kyoto.

It's been nommed 2-3 times already hasn't it?

This post was about Kyoto, Tubs seems to have thought it was about Milky Way. He said if I thought Kyoto was a whore he would have nommed that. My response is saying that Kyoto is a whore. No 'deliberate' misunderstanding on my part.

Raveneyes wins finally for Davide Bowie Heroes

Theme?

Apologies JHF. I've been pretty sick this week. Spent last night in hospital. Home now but still feel like crap.

I think when we have the "Compose Your Entry" round, my song will be called "Don't Be A Big ****ing Whore And Then Wait Three Days To Check The Thread"

Then he shouldn't be entering. Entering with that big a whore and then not considering he might win is poor form.

And no I don't want to host.

Give me a break. Sheesh.

Anyway, my botes.

10. Walk - Pantera
9. Touch, Peel, And Stand - Days Of The New
8. Hot Summer Nights - Night
7. Bring It On Home - Led Zeppelin
6. Pictures Of You - Drugdealer ft. Kate Bollinger
5. Johnson's Aeroplane - INXS
4. Have A Cigar - Pink Floyd
3. Inerrata - Absentia ft. Lari Basilio
2. Alva - Loud Exit
1. Rob'n Hoods - Alpha Weyves

B. Close To Me - Lola Young

MWPP thanks for jumping in for me.

Anytime

Funnily enough the last time I won/hosted I had to pass on my hosting duties before results release for similar reasons ie hospitalisation (then I won that round and had to pass on hosting duties for the same reason). Let’s hope this round goes better. So far so good!

You say that as if I knew you were in hospital and wasn't just commenting on the situation as it presented.

Of course you weren't to know.
Sometimes it's nice just to wait and give people the benefit of any doubt before launching into claiming 'poor form'.

BTW you should hang around. Your argumentative posting style can be entertaining, if not amusing. Don't mind your song selection at times too.

I appreciate the best wishes peeps. Thank you. I'm on the mend.

Also thanks again to JHF1870 for the huge task and well run #1000. Kudos!

As for Heroes, I nommed it expecting most people to nom one of their all-time favourites, so I expected a lot of street-walkers. But it was mostly 'current faves'. As a result, my nom stood out like a sore thumb.
Heroes was the first song I wanted that hadn't already podiumed, and the fact it was nommed in round 1 seemed fitting for round 1000, so that sealed the deal.

I'm not waiting around as I'm not playing. The only reason I came back in was someone tagged me asking if I'd host.

Glad to hear you're feeling better.

So I'm learning some new formulas in Excel, if you want to go through the spreadsheet here is the formula you need to use in a new column

=IF(AND(LEFT($C2361,1)=RIGHT($C2361,1)), $C2361,"")

This will list off every song that contains the same letter at the start and the end.
Then filter out any blanks.

I don't know how to do multiple filters to filter out songs post #500 and look up multiple entries but it's a good start if you want to give a song a second chance. Credit to Raveneyes for finding the right one. I love when someone gets a song another chance.

This made me cry when I heard it then I forgot why I liked it so played it again and it made me cry again whhahh

The song is such a vibe!

Each year a few friends share our a playlist of our top ten discoveries of the year gone by and Plastic Soul was my absolute favourite. It just instantly puts me in a good mood and everything else just fades out. The very first time I heard it, I felt like I knew it. Not in a derivative way, but it just reminds me of other songs (probably because it has a super common chord progression). My wife's first thought was “Angel” by Shaggy (which is pretty true) and when I looked it up online, it turns out that it is actually a sample of Erma Franklin’s “Piece Of My Heart” which interestingly is actually sampled by Shaggy in ANOTHER of his songs (also calle “Piece Of My Heart”).

Anyways, I'm glad you and a few others love it too!
