I hate comments like this, can’t you just enjoy the win? Nicks did actually change up the midfield mix today and clearly gave them more license to move the ball with pace. Yes, wish it came earlier, but he’s recognized the fault and got the result, that deserves some credit. Better than him taking until finals are mathematically gone to make the change.
And there is the real BACCS. You’ve been bagging him for not making these changes, now that he does you want to give him credit for making the obvious changes. Remember he disagreed with King when he labelled the midfield Nicks was playing as vanilla.

Now when we miss the finals, will you still be giving him credit for changing everything after 4 losses?

You know, you can bag someone when they get things wrong - we all have over the last four weeks. But it doesn’t mean you can’t also give them credit where it’s due. It’s not an all or nothing thing.

Jenny, we are in a competition that requires a certain number of wins to make finals.

If your coach changes what was working, sticks with a woeful midfield mix and lacks faith in the kids whilst backing out of form senior players, when the whole football industry and numpties posting on a football forum can see it but your coach can’t for 4 losses and those losses are likely to see the club miss finals, well then I’m sorry, he gets no credit and is to blame for us missing finals again.

He blamed the players FFS rather than admitting it was his coaching, that’s deplorable.

What are you saying, that the Hinkley mantra of "Why does it matter when you lose your five (4) in a row" doesn't stack up?

I see a lot of parallels between Nicks and Damien Hardwick. There were plenty of calls for Dimma’s sacking in his early years and they were probably justified. He had to rebuild a list that was old and tired. The difference is that Richmond nailed some draft picks and got themselves some genuine stars. Our drafting by comparison has largely been ordinary.

Nicks started from further back than Dimma. Dimma was pilloried like Nicks is now but is now looked upon as a coaching Messiah. I’m not suggesting that Nicks will become as good a coach but Richmond benefited from sticking fat with, what was at the time, a problematic coach. The question is, do the club and the supporters have the patience to find out if Nicks can do the same.

They also put good people in to help Dimma

Where are the similarities?

Dimmas of this world are the exception, there’s a lot more Mark Neelds, Teague, Richardson etc
