Coach Josh Carr - Midfield Coach

If this does happen, our board and management will have no where to hide.
It would be the clearest case of them not having any idea when it comes to football.

But none of that would matter. Koch is there until he gets bored or the AFL decide to boot him. Neither look likely. He controls the composition of the board, apart from the couple of member-elected directors.

Genuinely (this time) will take a little break from attending matches live if we lose Carr. I’ll still watch on TV amd be a hardcore non attending fan etc. but will save the money and just go to some away games with it.

If they extend Hinkley and keep Carr as there is a move in place I can accept, but not one without the other.

I do say this all the time though tbh.

Im already at this point. Have been for a year and half. Extend Hinkley and I'm gone forever. My passion is around 20% of what it was. 2 more years of Hinkley and it would be extinuished.

And we run the risk of losing this guy, who has a clear and undeniable connection to the players, for a rickety old diabetic with missing teeth.

To be honest, that's exactly what they want. We are the troublesome supporters. The ones who haven't forgotten how we got here.
If you want to see a sign of the future, head over to Reddit and read some of the stuff posted by those with Port flair. It's pathetic.

I've come to the realisation that I'm an outlier now, as most of us that post here would be, and the current club administrators can't wait for us to die off/piss off so they can sit back and revel in mediocrity with no pressure to perform, while siphoning off the pay check that comes with their role.

When he can manipulate the candidates including promoting fan -favourite yes men and blocking ruthless legacy premiership captains, he may as well elect them himself.

I have not attended a home game all season. The only game I have been to this season was the Dogs game at Marvel as I was in Melbourne for work on that day.

After going to every game home since 1997 I thought I would miss going to the footy but to be honest I have not.

I am hanging by a thread with my connection to the club at this time. If Hinkley is reappointed, that thread will be cut and I will not be back. The club will never get another dollar from me.

Fair enough.

Only reason I am still a member is for the socialising experience with my mates. But a Hinkley extension and losing Carr might really test that. I've been close to dropping by membership over the past few years. This might do it.

It's actually when you come to the realisation that most of the clubs supporters are complete morons that it becomes so much easier to detach.
