Almost felt like the players knew the league was likely to shutdown from halftime ...

Looks like COVID is actually going to take away everything which was good in most of the developed world, the economy, employment, sport and personal enjoyment of life.

Time to take up drinking again, I think ...

Really poor loss, no other way to describe it. A team which is expected to be closer to bottom 4 than finals were down to one on the bench, and yet after half time our work rate just stopped. A familiar story of opportunities without converting.

It looks like we will have plenty of time to rectify things, but you hope that this game does not negatively impact the culture of the club in the weeks or months ahead before we play again.

Kent is not good enough and should be replaced by Battle, Hind or Parker. Dunstan was simply dreadful today, despite showing decent form in the Marsh series. I hope Bytel is breathing down his neck.

That was absolutely pathetic in the second half. Just disgusting to watch. We just rolled over and let North win.

We should have won that game. We should have been about 8 goals up early in the 3rd. But typically awful goal kicking costs us again and again.

I can cope us not being good enough and being beaten by a better side but this was something else entirely.

What an awful way to lose a game on the day the season is called off.

Not great. The over the top people will love the loss. Let’s them bag the club continuously. To those we understand it was a bad loss.
Too many get excited by March champions.

I didn’t particularly like the selected side and some usual faces played up to their exposed premiership season form.

Can’t believe that battle, Sinclair and a fit Webster amongst others aren’t in our best 22, anyway that’s all she wrote one frustrating bloody game.

Should start the you can’t play two bloody ruckman thread so we have something to argue/discuss for the next six months.

In the grand scheme of things it won't matter. Season will most likely be canned given today's events.

Doesn't excuse the performance of course, and might actually spur the boys on for whenever the AFL is back.

Couldn’t get our hands on it after half time.
A combination of softness, poor decision making and inaccuracy spelled our demise, just for something different.
Can’t help but think some coaching came into it too, Cunnington left unchecked?
Small forwards very poor.
Jones, Ross, Dunstan, Gresham all got their hands on it, all found ways to butcher it.
The most disappointing aspect for me though was the lack of intensity and *want* from senior players in the 3rd and 4th. Ross, not a leader.

Positives were Hill’s ball use, when he got it. Paddy and Marshall combo shows potential. Hanners did some nice things. Long coming back. King made it through. Paton.

All in all, the most St Kilda of St Kilda performances. Beaten by a bunch of potatoes and ourselves.

Lastly, **** Ray Chamberlain the jockey cun*, may you suffer a life of misfortune and misery.

I'm not a coach but SITTING HIM ON CUNNINGTON might have been better.
lmao what about that interview Ratten gave a week or two ago where he said Steele would still do some tagging but only the big names.

Is that Rattens plan? To only tag people based off of reputation? Maybe Cunninton wasn't a big enough name to get the fabled Steele tag as he tore shreds off our mids.

Had our chances to win it in the last few minutes but didn't take them.

Shouldn't have even got that close, good teams don't let a 5 goal lead slip like we did, that 3rd quarter was horrendous, invited North back into it.

Not many positives from that 2nd half, Paton was one of our few shining lights that tried to turn things back our way but a lot of others went missing.

Looks like we may get a decent break now before our next game, gives us a chance to work on things and get fitter, we ran out of gas in the 2nd half.

Preseason everyones flying ran out of gas at halftime. Well done conditioning staff money well spent.Really excelled. We are a rabble. Rattens a joke richo mark 2. Enjoy your time ratts it wont last long. Ross and dunstan are a cancer when they are no longer on our list means we have very good mids. Kent is a spud horrible soul destroying player.

Ross, still terrible
Dunstan, still terrible
Kent, s***
Hunter, looked lazy and rushed

That dumbass butler kick when he was lining up for goal was the turning point.
Pathetic
