Off the back of an impressive win in Round 2, the Dragons FFC would head to Punt Road Oval to play the hot starting 2 and zip Fighting Furies. It was a volatile return to PRO for former Furies player Hate as he and his teammates would batter the Furies in the week long match thread.
The game of Qooty on the other hand was a lot more close than the banter stakes were. With no second season blues in sight, A Swallow would get his fair share of the pill as he would be instrumental in the Dragons opening up with a 6 goal lead at half time.
Veterans Ljp86 & Andonis1997 followed suit as the Dragons looked to be certain winners.
But as they say, it's never over until _Cayz_ has a melt.
5 goals from Dragons rookie, Only Forwards would ultimately not be enough as Tarkyn_24 would match his output and with the efforts of EKA winner tgrs and akkaps in the guts, the Furies via two late goals would pinch a victory out of nowhere despite being down by 35 points.

Thanks mate. And yes, it's a primary performance indicatorCongratulations cammo6556 on a great season. I have already drunk many beers on your behalf to celebrate. Maybe too many. Or not enough? I hear beer is great for Qooty training.
Good luck mate, but please don't blame us for a lack of stirring in your loins.Thanks for the kind words Hate. These 7 seasons with the Dragons have been a pleasure working alongside Dragon greats such as Ljp86, Andonis1997, The Filth Wizard, Hate boncer34, iBeng and cammo6556. Without you all this career would've amounted to nothing.
As said by Hate I'll be moving on to another team in s23 to try to reignite some passion for this league in my loins. While I'll pull on some different colours I'll always be a Dragon at heart and treasure the memories I have with you all. 6 finals series straight is nothing to sniff at.
So finally, my next destination will be announced in time but all the best for the future under Cammo, aside from against my next team. Peace out.️
All the best! The Dragons will never be the same without you around.Thanks for the kind words Hate. Cheers mate! Looking forward to running out alongside you in my first game!Congratulations to cammo6556 on winning the B&F count along with the minor place getters, thoroughly deserved. Well done also to the other award winners as well in Andonis1997, VSTone and roo2macca, some very deserving recipients among that bunch.
Another great count by Hate, the Dragons B&F count has been the best in the competition for a long time and this season was no different. Well done on captaining the club for the past few seasons and I'm sure cammo will do a great job when he takes over for next season.
Also sad to see Danoz departing, he has been a great servant of the Dragons for quite a while now. Hopefully we'll see him in Dragons colours again very soon.
Welcome also to Hatchy1992, I'm sure you'll be slotting into the side seamlessly once the new season rolls around.
Despite the result in the final game we still had a reasonable season, we did it the hard way to make the finals but showed we were worthy of a spot with our three wins on the trot. Hopefully we can continue that good form we showed in the finals next season and be up there again in Season 23.

After 5 rounds of counting votes for the Ljp86 Medal, we will take a short break to get into two other club accolades. Now, this is no time to get up and take a piss break. Stay seated as we now focus our attention towards the Most Valuable Player and Captains Awards.
Our Most Valuable Player award is determined by the player who ends the Home & Away season with the most Dream Team Points for the Dragons FFC.![]()
The player who will receive this honour tonight is sure to be in contention for the Ljp86 Medal come the end of the night. This player churned out a massive 21 disposals on average throughout the season. Ranking high in many statistical categories and with an emphatic posting style this player secured them self an All-SFA selection this season (can you guess?).
A funny thing I noticed is that this seasons winner finished with just 1 less Dream Team point than our previous winner, Danoz did.
Please stand for your winner;
Season 22 will be the last time I, as captain will be able to award this honour to an individual for their contributions to the team throughout the season. Last season I had the pleasure of handing this award to cammo6556, who will have the honour of choosing the recipient of this award in the coming seasons.![]()

It's always a tough having to decide who this award will go to with many players doing more than their fair share throughout the season. In saying that, I have come to a decision which I believe to be the right one.
Throughout the season this player has contributed behind the scenes maybe more so than in the public forum but that doesn't mean they haven't engaged in contributions in public. They have been an integral part of growing this club for many seasons now and is always willing to contribute when I pester them to do something for me. Sometimes for the club, sometimes for the league. The amount of effort and time put into these tasks is a big ask and without fail, I've never been knocked back. That's just the kind of person the winner is.
I ask you stand to toast your winner;

Agreed, Danoz also recruited me, sad to see him moving on, but understand why, and indeed, welcome Hatchy1992Shame to lose Danoz, he was the one who introduced me to the SFA so for that I will forever be thankful. On the other hand, welcome to the team Hatchy.
Season 22 was an evolution season for cammo6556 as he joined the Dragons FFC leadership group and helped steady the ship on and off-field. Off-field cammo will replace outgoing captain, Hate as the man at the top of the Dragon Island table in Season 23.![]()

cammo managed an impressive season on the field as well polling in all but 3 games this season, showcasing why he is the future of this club. Further backing up his claim, he was awarded a spot in the All-SFA team. It was a bittersweet ending to the season for cammo as he was adjudged best on ground in the losing team of the Grand Final.
After a 3rd place finish in last seasons count, cammo improves on his terrific form and tonight will take home his first of sure to be many Ljp86 medals. We know there is lots more to come from cammo and wish him the best of luck going forward.
Everyone, please stand and charge your glasses to the champion and winner of the Ljp86 Medal, cammo6556!
