His 2011 was absolutely sublime, very similar to Jobe's 2012. He's a prick, but he's also a deserving dual Brownlow medallist. Not many of those around.

You think he should've won it in 2011? He sure as shit didn't deserve it in 2010.

He certainly had a better year than Swan, although Swan had a better year in 2010 so it balances out.

I really don't think there was much difference between Judd's performance in 2010 or 2011. His team was obviously better in 2011, although that was due to other players. The only advantage his 2011 season had was that he didn't miss any games. But I suppose winning affects perception.

But I can't help but think that the difference in perception is due to the media. The media talked up Swan like crazy throughout 2010 to the point where it was just assumed he'd win the Brownlow, so there was a huge backlash when Judd who had a fantastic year in a mostly average team. In 2011, the media talk Judd up - in part due to his performances but partly because the 2010 Brownlow made the media look a little silly.
