The Hawks and the Box Hill Hawks men's (both senior and development squad) teams both have the weekend off so the only Hawks team in action this weekend is the VFL Women's team, having had a week off last weekend.

The VFL Women's team came close to winning their maiden match against Cranbourne earlier in the month so they will hope to carry through the confidence earned by scrapping hard against the Devils. The Hawks led Cranbourne by 12 points at quarter time (3.1.19 to 1.1.7) but scored only four points after quarter time while Cranbourne kicked 4.5.29 to win the game 3.5.23 to 5.6.36.

The Hawks' twitter feed at www.twitter.com/boxhillhawks will provide regular score updates of the game.

Lovely day for a drive & a walk. Went to Mulgrave Reserve. Car park was full and plenty of cars out the front on the road as well.

I must have been a Jinx cos when we arrived at quarter time, the Box Hill women were 2 points up.

2nd Quarter and the Devils took over and never looked back. Big King for them was very good down forward.

Eastern Devils 11.03.69 to Box Hill 07.07.49

-20 points.

The women were beaten by the better team but they didn't let them get an easy win, they fought it out.

A win cannot be that far round the corner.
