Hey group!
I'd love to get a hold of some AFL and AFLW cards (mostly North Melbourne stuff, but anything really). Obviously, they're tough to find over here. In 30 years of collecting, my only find were some boxes of 1995 Select that I grabbed for like $20 each at the National Sports Collectors Convention in 2004.
As I've discovered, there are plenty of fans of American sports teams here, and I've been a collector of MLB, NFL, NHL, and NBA cards for a long time (plus some soccer and Nascar stuff, but far less of it). So are there any collectors out there looking for American sports cards in trade for Australian ones?
I also collect autographs and have tried mailing cards to several former players who were in that 1995 product with a return envelope and postage. No successes yet, but it's only been a month. I'm fully expecting the delivery to take a month each way anyway.
