Nah... AFGM takes the chocolates.. I have a mate who plays AFL insisting he is only going to Gold Coast... AFGM named the day he would walk and I have no doubt he has got the club right aswell.... Tippett is just trying to get more out of the Gold Coast..
IMO he's p....g them off
Not a good way to start at a new club

You could well be right - although that would make AFGM wrong because according to him there is a signed contract with the gold coast twelve months ago.
Can you sign verbal agreements

Announcing a few obvious things, getting one or two 50/50 guesses right and sweeping away all the guesses that were wrong is essentially how charlatans and scam artists like John Edwards work.

My question to you is - do you have a deceased relative you'd like me to try and contact for you?

For all the talk of Kurt being a bit of a loner who didn't have a close relationship with many of the boys, it was pretty obvious that him and Tex were good mates; onfield at least.

Very mature and quality response by Tex :)

Caro still carrying on that the contract still includes a clause to get Kurt home; "If it doesn't exist - why did the Crows management confirm it to me?"

So full of shit.
Because caro is an attention whore?

AFGM vs Bigfooty is more interesting than the Tippett situation itself.
He's fighting for BF survival ......think he said that he would quit BF if his sources were not spot on :p

This place is better for his entertainment .....I am sure he'd be forgiven, but we may have to take a poll ;)

I have seriously thought of just taking a few days off this week to see how this pans out, but of course it is trade month and well, you know I'm not sure I could fake a sickness severe enough to get a month off. So...are we there yet, are we there yet?

We all wish!

She said "club" not crows management. She was very careful with her words when replying to Rowey.

I was impressed when she did say that the AFC should make a statement with all their extra $$$ now and let everyone know we are not a team to be messed with.

Dowdells a classic. He's just tweeted: to all ex-tippy fans, don't throw away your guernsey. Just add another 4 and get around your new favorite player!
Yeah forgot about him .....wonder if he can improve enough to be a viable option??

You also said Kurt would hold his press conference At southport sharks on Tuesday announcing he would be going to gold coast.

I said he would make his announcement on Tuesday, which he did.

Those at West Lakes who passionately believed that Kurt had been jerking them around for the last twelve months knew the latest Kurt could delay an announcement was Tuesday, hence they guessed that it would be Tuesday. After the end of July deadline was ignored the AFC insisted on an answer as soon as the season was over (remember our season could have finished as late as last Saturday). Whilst many were hopeful that he would inform them when he had his end of season debriefing last Thursday, Kurt pulled the old "I need to work things out over the weekend" and flew back to the Gold Coast. Since it was a long weekend in Queensland, the expectation was that he would fly back on Monday night or Tuesday morning to give his decision "man-to-man" as he had promised. A couple of things then changed. Joel was not going to be fit to play in the Grand Final for West Adelaide and Kurt probably thought a surf on the Gold Coast was more attractive than manning up.

If he was going to have a presser on the Gold Coast it couldn't be at the Suns hence the expectation he would play the Southport card. Don't discount this happening before the start of trade week.

I have prepared the explosives should my predictions be proved incorrect. If all of my predictions prove accurate I fully expect Kane McNugget, Bicks, Wayno etc to say....everyone knew that would happen.

Anyone see him play in the SANFL this year? Any chance of a promotion to the senior list?
Was getting huge numbers of taps but next to nothing in around the ground disposals .......his last game of the year was his best

Would imagine he would spend another year on rookie list ....question is will he be able to improve and read the around the ground AFL gamestyle .....awfull lot to learn

I can't see any upside for the Crows to air their dirty laundry. I believe that they have essentially been blindsided. Whilst they knew the "agreement" was a ticking bomb, they thought that they had until the end of this year to convince Kurt to stay. Gold Coast were very smart to make their move twelve months ago using the recently removed loophole. I wonder whether Kurt is now questionning the wisdom of signing with Gold Coast at the end of last year.

Unless both Gold Coast and Kurt agree to burn the contract, and that ain't going to happen, then it will go ahead as explained 187 pages ago. Until Saturday Gold Coast may have been having some buyer's regret but whilst Kurt will be very nicely paid at least it will not cost Gold Coast much to trade him. (Sam Day/Pick 2 tell em their dreamin)
 can you sign a verbal agreement ???

Can't speak for the others but in my case, You bloody well better believe it!!!!!
Glad you qualified your statement using the word "predictions", never has a truer word been written by you in the whole episode!!!
PREDICTION
A prediction (Latinpræ-, "before," and dicere, "to say") or forecast is a statement about the way things will happen in the future,
often but not always based on experience or knowledge.

I think he was probably mostly right (and really, if he's 75% right but doesn't nail every detail, it's a fair effort); I don't believe a contract was signed, but would believe and in principle agreement was reached - until Blucher overplayed his hand and provoked us, and tried to strong arm GC.

Now, we've told them to shove it up their arses, and the GC aren't willing to be dictated to as to the contract.

Spot on Elvis...

If Tippett ends up at Gold Coast, as he will, AFGM win and he must be commended for having the biggest balls of all time... Infact I think he deserves his own thread
