In Season 26, a bright eyed entrepreneur by the name of Tandy set up shop in the bustling Los Carraras Shopping Centre, right in the heart of the Nou Camp district of Sweet. His business? Tandy Electronics, the go to destination for all your tech needs. The store was a hit. Customers flocked in, lured by his premium selection of cutting edge devices, overstocked shelves of floppy disks, and an unbeatable 12 month warranty, if you could find the receipt in that shoebox under your bed.
Success came quickly. In Season 27, his empire expanded. New locations popped up across Sweet, and the Bears rewarded his entrepreneurial spirit and efforts with their Best and Fairest award. It was a golden era for Tandy. Profits soared, and his stores became an institution.
Then disaster struck.
Season 28 was a bloodbath. Consumers turned to online shopping, lured by free shipping and the ease of buying knockoff cables from dodgy websites. Parents stopped buying their kids Game Boys and instead handed them iPads loaded with free to play games that somehow cost more than a gaming console. A devastating report revealed that CD-Rs were no longer in demand. The writing was on the wall. The shelves gathered dust, the rent piled up, and before long, the entire Tandy empire collapsed. By the end of the season, the doors were shut, the neon sign flickered out, and Tandy disappeared into obscurity.
For eight long seasons, he drifted through various... let's call them career detours. Among his ventures:
- Selling "pre owned" DVD players out of a van behind a Bunnings.
- Running a tech support hotline where his only advice was "Have you tried turning it off and on again?"
- Inventing a universal remote that could only turn the volume up.
- Serving as a Las Vegas magician's assistant, until the "sawing in half" trick went horribly wrong.
- Working as a personal shopper for a billionaire, until he realised he was just the getaway driver.
- Briefly became a life coach, despite his only qualification being learning from experience, which mostly meant Tandy making every possible mistake so you didn't have to.
He reopened his original Los Carraras store, restocked the shelves, and returned to the Bears, determined to prove that second chances are real. Having battled through the highs and lows, Tandy has now reached 100 games, proving his empire is here to stay. He has proven that like a Nokia 3310, you can drop him, but you cannot break him.
Congratulations on the milestone, Tandy. May your store remain open for many seasons to come.
