Having a crack at the team of the year.

Criteria is based on who has played well against us this year and most of you will probably think this team is skewed with too many Mount players (but that's who I know best).

FB:
Turner (Caulfield) Thomas (Skye) Timms (Hampton)
HB: Jansen (East Brighton) Wilkin (Mount Waverley) Herrington (Chelsea Heights)
C: Semmel (Murrumbeena) Wilson (Murrumbeena) Smith (Mount Waverley)
HF: Jamieson (East Brighton) Bryan (Keysborough) Goodes (Keysborough)
FF: Hawkins (Skye) Smith (Chelsea Heights) Gough (Mount Waverley)
Ruck: Ballard (Caulfield) humphries (Keysborough) Mathers (Mount Waverley)
Int: Cuscak (Heatherton) Feehan (Springvale) Jackson (Highett) Williams (Chelsea Heights)
Emerg: Hayes (Hampton),Brown (Highett), Keem (Mount Waverley)

That's actually a cracking team there

Dear East Brighton Football & Netball Club,

If you could kindly beat Murrumbeena by at least 10 goals today,
that would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Mount Waverley Football & Netball Club.

Hampton Park held a meeting tonight and will be requesting a move to Southern Football League in 2018
I reckon Chelsea Seagulls will as well. The MPNFL had their league meeting last night and 5-6 MPNFL clubs walked out of the meeting when it was announced they were having a 3 Tier Divisional structure with SEFNL.

All very well for Sorrento, Frankston YCW and other cashed up clubs to retain the current model as they are competing for flags every year. But what about the other clubs who get hammered season after season by the big wealthy teams. Divisional football is the only way to go.

Chelsea have been touted as a starter in the SFL for years and Hampton Park tried to join last season so no real surprises. Only reservation about HP is that the Dandenong area is already awash with clubs who are battling and competing for players from a shallow and ever diminishing talent pool.

Southern Football Netball League Fairpark (Eastern Lions) Gough, James Pending 2017-11-17

Well they obviously offered what was wanted.

Very heartbreaking decision.
But you can take the boy out of Mount,
But you can't take the Mount out of the boy.

Plus they've got some country lads coming in that potentially will fill the void.
