Maybe even cross time technology ?
 
It'll be a major leap forward for humanity, but in terms of seeing back/forward in time? Unlikely at this stage, if it did somehow prove to be possible once we unlock Quantum computation then the world will be a very different place.

Which opens up many cans of many types of worms.
