Just a bit of information about Trengove's injury and other players that have had similar injury.

For example, former Geelong All Australian defender Matthew Egan.

If the stress fracture does knit, Trengove will play Round 1 next year.

For example, former Essendon skipper James Hird.

Others have returned from a similar injury, such as Trengove’s teammate jack GrimesJ and Collingwood’s Alex Fasolo.

Basically looks like if the stress fracture doesnt Knit - He's done,Cooked, Finito
But if it does knit no issue as Hird,Fosolo,Grimes have all gone on with no further issue

April 16 was his operation, 6 months ago
You would think our medico's would be all over this and in a good position to advise as well as Jack himself would know if hes cooked by now. - And he's looking foward to a big.hard pre season

On a side note, at about the same age, Michael Jordan did the same injury and well... we all know what happened to him.

How old was Egan when he did his? Also, hasn't Egan essentially sued the Geelong medico's for the way he treated his injury?

All this is beside the point, because it is an injury which can be career ending etc. but the reality is - at least in modern times - if the rehabilitation is managed correctly, the success of a comeback is greater than failure.

Julio Jones a wide reciever in the NFL was out for the majority of last season with a stress facture on his navicular. This season, six weeks in, he's leading the NFL for recieving yards.

Done deal!

Tregove isn't interested in moving back to Adelaide. Clubs just determining which (if any) late picks will be involved. Our 3rd for their 4th has been mentioned.

Also could be trading McDonough to Adelaide. Our 2nd + McDonough for Adelaide's 2nd and 3rd picks.
Yep get this done..

DONT LIKE THIS !!!!!

Him being a former pick number 2 carries basically no weight at all. Dusty went pick 3... does that mean he's not as good? .... We drafted Tambling with pick 4, were clubs falling over themselves to sign him because we was a "former top pick"? All it means is MFC, possibly the most idiotic football club of the modern era, rated him as pick 2.

It's an extra spot of the list that could be given to a non-injury prone player, who actually has balls, and who will demand less coin than Trengove.

Putting injuries aside, Trengove was universally rated as a top 3 pick that year. He was clearly one of the best juniors. It's not his fault injuries and lack of development by the MFC have held him back. MFC may be one of the more idiotic football clubs of the modern era but their decision making was sound with their selection. History has shown...to date...that it will backfire on them. However, I'm happy to bet my left testicle that most clubs if not all would have gone the same way.
