With good use of Graeme "the better" Osborne, the Primates got home in a thriller at VFL Park, to the dismay of the Stripes who arguably had the better of the play, but are still hunting for the best scoring options. The last 3 or so minutes of the match were spent predominantly in the Old Fitzroy forward line, but Zanotti and his fellow primates (and I use that association tightly) gritted their teeth, lashed their hearts to their positions, and held on like grim death, something which might have been a more appropriate award to bestow upon Graeme Samuel.

Trying out a new forward, it was more of the old for the Stripes: couple of majors, solid performance, world still not set on fire. It wasn't too much more fruitful at the Gorillas goalface either. Actually, it was just a totally crap match all round.

But even crap matches all round must (usually) produce a winner, and this time its the Primates.
