My father in laws mate George won Div 1 TWICE in the 80's. Bought himself a boat, paid his house off and stuck the rest in the bank. Didn't change him one bit from what Im told.
Had a night at the casino last year on the Thursday that Powerball hit $70+ million. Bought a powerhit (guarantees powerball) and had the mrs select 6 numbers. Next morning - tick tick tick tick tick......and had 21 instead of 15...that was the difference between $9k and $70M

Know a bloke in his 40s who was unemployed and still living at home that won it (I don't think it was divvy 1 but still a sizeable amount). He booted his elderly mother out of the house, and built her a shitty little granny flat in the backyard and lived in the actual house himself.

My grandad won $200,000 on one of those crossword scratches about 10-12 years ago. What he did with it? I have no idea. But he was a scratchie/lotto addict I reckon. He spent probably $100 a week on that stuff.
