  • However, the Russia investigation team, led by former Special Counsel Robert Mueller, decided they "did not have admissible evidence that was probably sufficient to obtain" a conspiracy conviction for any of them — noting that correspondence between WikiLeaks and officers of the GRU, Russia's main spy agency, was conducted "via encrypted chats."
Yes,they couldn't do anything because they didn't have much and they couldn't hack the "encrypted chats".

20/21 Feb is his High Court final appeal.
I don't agree with the extradition, the CIA did plot to kill him and the Espionage Act charges he is up against are very difficult to defend to the point where it's basically a stitch up.

Not to mention that he is up against it because he is guilty. Like McBride, he didn't just release details of war crimes (which would have been fine) but other secret information which in Assanges case led to people's death and imprisonment just to suit his narcissm. Just because he did long enough to avoid a rape trial doesn't mean he should escape facing trial for these offences. It will be interesting to see his reaction when his sentence is actually less than the time he locked himself up in thr embassy in London to avoid justice.

lick that boot harder. Who actually died from Assange leaks? let me guess they can't release that information.

McBride was attempting to protect what he believed Australia was? Naive, but at least he tried

It was the guardian that actually did that bit wasn't it?

Guardian, lemonde and other left wing outlets condemned wikileaks for the cable release which put people's lives at risk.

No that's not what happened.

The Guardian released the unredacted cables after being asked by wikileaks to be careful about what they released. Wikileaks released the lot but they were encrypted, David Leigh of the Guardian published the key to the encryption.

AI drones smarter than you.
Keep sticking up for the US railroading another case in there favour,CIA wanted to kill him.
Not much pressure on London High Court to make a fair decision.

Ok, I'm at work and it's just been reported that the US has agreed to let Assange plead guilty to a lesser charged and walk out a free man.

Is anyone able to add some more flesh to this?
