Berrigan should be in with a better show this week with the return of Thornton, Riddle, Bland, Needham, Carr and Towler. A fair bit of experience to come back in hopefully to get the Saints there second win after being in a winning position so many times this year!

Key match ups Mathoura v Tungamah.

O'Callaghan v Dodd
Neal v Wren
Willoughby v Wren
Buckly v Te-Jones

Key players for Mathoura,
Wood - Full Forward recruited to club 2 weeks ago and was very good last week with 5.
Sparey - The little bloke has been very good at times this season .
Preece / Smith - Both have rotated through the mid field at times and been very important.
Harding Davies - Young ruckman really developing and has been in top 6 players most weeks.

harding davies wont play this weekend. personal commitments have ruled him out so the timbercutters will be without a key ruckman

Thornton and Towler would be the match winners IMO there magic! The others though are handy inclusions and damm how annoying is opening a new thread for each weeks games!

The changes to try and include all posts, which are directed to one round of matches, into one thread, is to try and assist in the retrieval and management of that data at a later date, rather than sort through one large file, hey lets give it a go !!!

Notice from last nights report Chris Kendall was BOG 2 weeks in a row and Wesa Teague didn't get a mention, what's the go, has not been in the best players as often as normal ?

Great crowd and atmosphere at Deakin last night, from the sidelines the ball seemed to get slippery about half way through the 3rd quarter.

Great innovation and maybe the start of a tradition?

Well done Ozzie.

Was a good crowd. Would have been good to see what numbers they could get through the gates with better weather.

Early in the game it was flat out. I felt Katandra had their chances in the second quarter with a fair bit of the ball in their forward half but couldnt capitalise due to Dookie pressure and. Then Dookie went bang bang and put on a couple of quick goals.

By the third quarter the game had lost some pace. The ball and ground were nice and slippery providing some amusing trip ups.

Hall put it too his side at 3/4 time that the only way to finish the game was to go for the win, even though they were down by 5, and they had a red hot go. Starting the attack from the back line and leaving space up forward to use.

It was all over when Dookie slotted one late in the quarter and put another one on the board short after.

Dookie seemed to slow right down in the last quarter...maybe all the attacking early on was a bit taxing.

A great game to watch but i froze my nuts off.
