If you take a midfielder, it will be highly unlikely to be a Gresham styled midfielder as you have plenty of those in your stocks.

He sounds like a nice player, but I agree with your comment - we have a deep midfield, before adding Liberatore, Stevens, Smith etc back in from injury, plus the continued development of our kids.

We need KPP and ruck depth, so I'm worried it'll all be gone by our picks.

If I'm Gold Coast I'd go Curnow over Oliver. Just lost Dixon and Gorringe and would be confident multiple of Balic, Mathieson, Partington or Dunkley/Tucker being around come their second pick.

It's pretty common knowledge among Saints fans that we will take Matheison if he is available, otherwise it'll be Darcy Tucker. These guys passed on both of them...

Was a mix of both. Sanderson picked him and said he felt you had good inside coverage but wanted a utility who could play half back, wing and forward.

It was 'best needs' I think, it wasn't really a mock draft - I think they're doing that later

Lol we already have about 15 half backs, that's even before getting Bailey Rice.

Meanwhile we had Montagna still playing in top form at 31, Armitage have a massive year, Steven win the BnF and Billy Longer breakout in the ruck to help lead us to a whopping 17th in clearances and 18th overall in effective clearances. Our inside game stinks!

Yep. You would be laughing all the way to the bank if you landed the two of them. As it is, it feels like you have to decide between the two of them at pick 3.
