So this is one of my favourite series.

3 books by an author mostly known for Sci Fi

Most famously for the Takeshi Kovacs books which Netflix has I think butchered with their version of Altered Carbon.

There are definite sci-fi elements to the series but it is without a doubt a high fantasy in its own right

It's dark and not for everyone given some of the themes but we'll worth the effort.
