I seriously doubt Melksham is fitter. He struggles to make nearly enough contests.
He's been able to run out games in the middle, Yarran struggles to run out games on a flank. To me that says he's fitter.

I think he deserves one final chance to prove his worth. He shows glimpses but has obviously failed to cement himself in the 22. Fingers crossed he finds some form!

The main issue has been that he has cemented his spot in the 22, even though he's been undeserving. Our development of him has been terrible.

Bomber was the only one with the balls to drop him and he was average at best in the VFL and couldn't break his way back into the side. I think that speaks volumes.

He played 18 games in the seniors this year....

If he can play a more than solid role in 2 flags I'll be happy to have him on the list, but I am out of patience with him.
Lol .. Wallis did nothing Kicket couldn't have done in 93, cost us in 99 and played alongside Fletcher and Wellman in 00. Shizen player and dog too. I will always remember seeing him as an experienced player hitting an 18 year old Green while his hands were held back.

Different time. Back then it was all about 'If you want to play with the big boys you gotta learn to piss in the tall grass.'

Kickett must've been saving his energy for the GF then, as he averaged 5 possessions in the first 3 finals.

I never said I loved Wallis as a player, and I do think he was very lucky he was a Sheedy love child, but I think he was solid in both flags. This has nothing to do with Melksham though, someone made the comparison which is where I made my comment.

He was a coward who hit people from behind. Ever see him make a statement by going toe to toe with an enforcer from the opposition?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he was a angel, BUT Sheeds loved his attack the ball and take out the man type of play. From day one.
He was encouraged to play in that manner and he did. I never like the Green incident either, but I can tell you I flipping loved the hit on Mil Hanna.

Strangely enough if anything his 2000 season was his best because he didn't do as much of it.

While Yarran is a lazy sooky prick he is 10x the player Melksham is. Don't want either at our club

Is he really though?

Every now and then he pops up and does something exciting, but for the most part he is unseen. Please explain how a player can be dropped to the VFL twice in one year in the team that wins the wooden spoon yet is perceived to have any sort of trade currency?

Many people say the same about melksham as I would about Yarran. "His best is awesome, his worst he might as well not be on the park" Yarran is one of the most inconsistent players in the comp nkrmally: playing wise I wouldn't pay to much attention of his year just gone. He didn't give a stuff and didn't want to play for Carlton (exactly why I said he is a sook and wouldn't want him) he's far more skillful and quicker than Jake. Has more tools at his disposal. Shame he is a ****wit. If he gets to the right destination and pulls his finger out, he will have a far better AFL career than Melksham. That is why I'd say he has more currency then Melksham. Melksham tries hard, but **** me he should of been dropped more than he was this season. Did he even do anything in the VFL to warrant senior selection.
