Good to watch 7 news casually report the cows surplus without the need to mention their handout. In contrast when our profit was reported we had to watch our pres get on his knees, loosen his jaw and thank the $ANFL for giving us our money back. Eat a ####!!!

Fact of the matter is they should be at least the financial powerhouse West Coast is. But they're not even close to it and none of these hacks will ever question why.

Shook my head at the contrasting angles the Craptiser and Age took on the Crows' financial returns for 2011. One reported solely the $300,000 surplus with nothing but a positive spin and no mention of handouts. The other ran with the title "Crows report $600,000 deficit".

The suggestion that John Butcher, in lieu of everything - Paul Connors, 3-19, go-home, our finances - would commit to a long-term contract on the proviso we draft his younger brother with what was ultimately a dregs pick is the stuff of the deranged pieces of furniture on Bay 13.

In one fell swoop John's character is impugned and a young kid is unfairly knocked - he did win an U18 B&F after all.

Amazed it got past the editors.

I wondered if that was where he might have found the idea. But I don't go there so who knows if it was even suggested in that snakepit?
