Confirmed Trade 4: Ahmad Saad ,Terry Milera & Pick 20 St.Kilda for GWS Pick 25

Saints Land Mature Pair
ST KILDA has landed two mature-age players in a deal with Greater Western Sydney.

Terry Milera from SANFL club Port Adelaide and Ahmed Saad from VFL club Northern Bullants will join the Saints after GWS had the rights to them as they had previously nominated for the draft.

In return the Saints have downgraded their draft pick 20 to 25, giving GWS 12 of the first 20 picks at next month's NAB AFL Draft.

Good trade for the Saints IMO

Wouldnt have minded either of them at Essendon, makes for a very dangerous forward line at the Saints

good list management - perhaps shows coaches dont play a huge role in trades

Nice work by the Saints.

So GWS has effectively turned M. Clarke, J. Elliot, Ahmad Saad ,Terry Miller and pick 67 into and band 3 compo pick.

hmmm seems like GWS are giving away their rights to these mature players quite easily. They know they can't keep them so they are willing to pass on anything.

5 places up the draft order... that's a shambles. I think clubs will be lining up outside the GWS office after this one!

Yep, but I'm spewing Dodoro didn't line up prior to this one!!! Saad is something the bombers could have done with. Just the type of player and age bracket we need. Also was a bombers supporter ... oh well.

Great pick up by St Kilda.

I am a big fan of Milera and was hoping Port would pick him up. He will fill that role you were hoping Andrew Lovett would.

Beautiful mover, good skills and surprisingly tall for a wing/small forward.

Good pickup with Saad, bloody hell he is an exciting player. You'd think that GWS would want to keep him since he has a lot of X-Factor to him, works hard and is still very young.

They're coughing up pre-listed players like mad though. Even if some turn out to be plodders, they're always going to work harder than most for a spot and will generally be more level-headed players.

Can anybody give more information on Milera? Im assuming he is not the fat milera that adelaide delisted.
What sort of role will he play and is he ready to go from day 1?

a lot of flair...quick and evasive...a bit like jeff garlett however taller...can play wing/flank or as a small forward.

Tallish winger/HFF. Fast and pretty skilful. Has kicked bags of 3,4,5 goals a number of times this year.

coaches don't see all the kids. they rely alot on the thier recruitment and list management.

coaches probably should say to the recruitment team we need these and these types of players. go find them
