west coast/sydney played 3 times in 2006 for a margin of 2 points.

they also played 6 times from 2005-2007 for a margin of 3 points.

surely nothing like that will ever happen again, especially in finals.

Also wonder how many teams have had one 1pt win, one 1pt loss and a draw in the same season.

One point behind sits Geelong and the Bulldogs who played twice in 2006 for two one-point margins (one each way).
You can add a draw against Melbourne to Geelong's 2006 record for your first example. :thumbsu:

:thumbsu: Solved that question. Our last draw too - this one has been well quicker than average too given that the last three before it were 1971, 1992, 2006.

Oh please, can anybody even REMEMBER Sydney and WC. Three consecutive games for 1pt deciders.

Another thriller run happened in the 1920's between Melbourne and Richmond

R2 1922: Melb won by 3
R11 1922: Rich won by 3
R1 1923: Rich won by 5
R10 1923: Rich won by 5
R7 1924: Rich won by 4
R 16 1924: Rich ends the streak by 46 points
