Own goals, falling over all the time, slow, can't head a ball for shit, giving away penalties, yelling at everybody else when most goals we conceed are usually down to his errors.

He's been ****ing disgraceful for ages now.

I'd rather Agger 1% fit with a ****ed-up back than this clown.

Plus Carragher is a complete wankhead.

Delist. Go run ya cafe you ****.

By far the worst.

Not even fit to lace Mikael Silvestre's boots

Woeful bus.... really woeful.

He did make one error where he was half asleep right at the beginning but im sorry that penalty was never, ever a pen. It was good defending and somehow Marriner points to the spot??

Apart from that Carragher was pretty solid.

He isnt in career best form and the disrespect you show towards one our greats is pretty shocking.

He's ****ing shit nowadays, and should be pensioned off ASAP.

He would've given away about 15 penalties in the 2007/08 season if he played for a Bolton/Wigan/Reading or some other small club.

Last year he was disgraceful, especially towards the end of the year - and he's been exactly the same this year.

He's rubbish and should be ****ed off as soon as Agger can walk properly.

Yeah I get it, you think he is on the decline but show some ****ing respect mate. He was absolutely ****ing mammoth for us when we won our 5th european cup and has pulled on the shirt 583 times. Nobody, not even Gerrard loves the club as much as Carra.

Do you just have to be so derogatory all the time.

"Now" is the word I don't understand, bus. :p

Carragher has been utterly terrible for years. How many times can one man fall on his face (and that's even without Henry in the league anymore) and still be allowed to play?

Worse than Cygan. If he weren't a scouser, he would have been released as a youth.

I don't disagree Bus but Skrtel has been average (arguably poor) for the best part of 12 months. He really isn't that good.

Liverpool's best defence?

Reina - Good keeper. one of the best 2 or 3 in the league.

Johnson - first game, I've seen him play last night. his second half was much better than his first. complete non-factor going forward, alot of the time caught way too far upfield with only Carragher for cover, if there was competency to cover than he would've been alright. as it was, there wasn't. I'm assuming last night was his worst game for the season? He wasn't terrible but his first half was disappointing. at worst he's one of the best half dozen in his position in the league.

Insua - looked the most solid last night. he's a ****ing midget but I like him. got a nice left leg on him as well. could be exposed against pure strength and height but he hasn't been yet, from what I've seen. and Liverpool just have to make sure they're not relying on him to win too many defensive headers. he offers a different package and liverpool have used him as such, to this point. he's probably about the 7th or 8th best in his position. which is admirable for someone so young and small coming into such a physical league.

Agger - obviously a part of the best defence. haven't seen him play too many bad games. quality on the ball, pace, anticipation and also no clumsiness (note Skrtel and Carragher). rate him as one of the best 3 or 4 in the league.

Other central defender - no idea who I'd ****ing put there. honestly, sometimes you'd be better served just sticking another dude in the midfield.

so yeah, my point being that defence is fairly high quality. looking really good in an attacking sense especially but there's just that one world class player who's missing.
pending the funds being available Liverpool should definitely look for to satisfy this requirement at the next available opportunity (which will probably be at the end of the season).

the other thing about Agger. looks quality against the very best as well. doesn't just bully around the minnows. If I was picking a central defender from the league for my side, I'd probably pick him, not because he's the very best (yet) but the current package (inclusive of age, big game performances, attacking quality etc) is without peer. excellent player who deserves a high quality partner. something Liverpool don't have for him. he is a brilliant player but he can't do it all by himself.

Man Carragher has been garbage for a long time now. The problem with Liverpool is the fact that talent wise he should be playing at a lower club currently, but it would be perceived disrespectful making him leave Liverpool after being there so long or freezing him out of the side, similar to Hyypia of last couple of seasons.

The fact is that older players are just unable to keep up with the pace of the game in the EPL. Defenders especially get shown up in this regard, whereas strikers and mids can get away with it if they have a good goal sense and still have the ability to set up play well.

Yeah - definitely his worst game for the season. By a distance.

Had a woeful first half, when Hines was giving him the runaround.

But he was better in the second half - and locked down on Hines, who was a non-factor after the interval.

It's great to see him playing so many games. He's a little bull. Should be playing for Argentina, frankly.

I don't think he's produced anywhere near what he's capable of going forward this season though. His crossing has been sub-par this season so far, compared to the belters of balls he was whipping in last year.

But you can't complain, because defensively he's been outstanding for someone with so little experience, and someone so young.

If he was playing for Man Utd it'd be "Oh look at this young kid go - Ferguson really knows how to bring through these outstanding young players!"

Or if he played for Arsenal, it'd be "Oh Wenger has done it again! Where does he get these kids from? (Even if they've come for 5-10 million from the coke league!)

But he's just slipping under the radar doing a great job at the moment. He's outstandingly consistent too - a rare trait in smeone of such tender years.

TIG and I were pushing the Insua bandwagon for a good couple of years. Seems it's finally picked up some momentum.

Agger - obviously a part of the best defence. haven't seen him play too many bad games. quality on the ball, pace, anticipation and also no clumsiness (note Skrtel and Carragher). rate him as one of the best 3 or 4 in the league.

Agger is ****ing brilliant. I'd even consider playing him in a deep lying midfield role - that's how ****ing awesome his passing is.

But with the defence a complete horror show at the moment - he needs to go back there and toughen that up.

He'll also make us a far greater threat going forward. Agger is criminally underrated by many.

I think his cool and calm presence will help Skrtel too. It can't be easy for him playing next to the king of the ****-up Carragher at the minute. It's just a bad combination. Agger and Skrtel will be an excellent partnership.

how could it be an excellent partnership when skrtel is anything but?

is agger that good?

Skrtel showed last year before his injury - that he's a very capable defender.

He's better than Carragher by a long way - and I think he'll be back to the good performances he's capable of - when he's not playing alongside a constantly out of position Carragher - who's giving away penalties, missing headers, taking airswings, falling over and giving the ball away.
