How good is it to see a board be consistent with their values & what they promised?

They said they'd bump up their football department. They put their full support behind Ross Lyon. They said they wouldn't a say a word (unlike some presidents). They have stuck to their guns.

Good admins help win premierships. Just ask Geelong.

How often do you hear from Westaway or Costa? Never.

I'll be filthy if the Cats don't win it this year, but if the Saints win it, I'll be happy for these blokes because they deserve it.

Butterss out was one of the better moves St Kilda have done.

Can't disagree! At the time though, Saints supporters were 'Here we go again!' But the stability has been rewarded. Although we could surely depend on any board that has Burkey on it!

I'm very happy with the Westaway administration, but Rod Butterss did do something pretty valuable before he went batsh*t insane.

He hired Ross Lyon.

Jeff Kennett is 10 times better than either president. He's rallied 50,000 members for a team supposedly full of bandwagoners and tasmanians! Just admit you perennial choke artists are jealous. Hawthorn will always be better than either of your pathetic teams.

A great opening post, however you point to the fact that having the "quiet guys" will lead you to a premiership over the "loud mouths".....Unfortunately the Hawks proved that wrong last year. I like what you said, just thought I'd point that out.

Lets hope the other "loud mouth" delivers this year

These are definitely good times to be a footy administrator.

You get roundly applauded and celebrated for saying and doing jack....its a bit like half the clubs recruitment policies these days where they get applauded for sitting on their hands and doing nothing for their club's future at the trade table. "i've got a youth policy so i cant f'k up and be responsible "

Gotta get me one of those types of jobs...u even get a free parking space too with "el presidente, park here and your balls are toast",

to be honest I'd still prefer an Eddie Maguire type whos willing to stand up to the AFL and make them do what he wants in the best interest of his club. Listening to him on the Footy Show (speaking of which, what a crock of shit) last night really made me think about how much I would love to have someone like that at the helm for my sainters.

defintly one of the best changes the club has done with butters out and westaway and burke in like geelong the club board really influences on the playing group and im sure if we didnt have these guys we wouldnt be as successful as we have this year
