Preview of this weeks impact:

Who is Kurt Angle's mistress? Will Mr. Anderson finally get his title shot one-on-one in the ring with TNA World Champion Sting? Who at the network is the match maker?

I've watched all TNA programming since Victory Road, anddespite it being very Hogan and Immortal-centric at times, they're actually putting out some decent, easy-to-follow wrestling programming at the moment.

Everything makes sense now and isn't massively overbooked like it used to be. Sure, AJ Styles could have sold the spinal injury a bit longer to be more realistic, but his return made perfect sense in the context of the situation. They've covered for the Jeff Hardy situation seamlessly as well, and made a storyline around the World Championship involving multiple characters and angles without being overly complicated or convoluted. Everyone's position and role in the World Championship storyline is clear, while still having enough unknowns with it to keep us interested going forward. The in-ring work from everyone on the roster has been very solid lately too, with Matt Hardy in particular putting on the best matches at the moment IMO.

Hopefully they can keep the silliness in check and continue on this promising path for the rest of 2011.

It was only a matter of time before one of the "Jersey Shore" gals got knocked up ... and now TMZ has confirmed ... Angelina Pivarnick is 100% preggo!!!!
TMZ spoke with Angelina who confirmed the pregnancy ... but wouldn't comment further.

Sources close to the reality star tell us the baby daddy is Angelina's fiance Dave Kovacs. The couple has been engaged since February.

No word on when the baby is due.

Gym. Tan. Labor.

great news, she won't be on anymore

Her contract only ran for two episodes anyway (March 3 and March 10), and she hasn't been seen or spoken of on TNA programming since. Hopefully they continue to focus on the wrestling, and don't bring in D-grade celebrities for useless angles nobody cares about.

"Vince was asked when he was going to "buy that company based in Nashville, TN because they have the wrong people running it. Please save the business from Dixie Carter." McMahon laughed. The stockholder said, "Stephanie has more brains than Dixie Carter has." They showed Triple H and Stephanie laughing at this development. The stockholder said that if WWE bought TNA now, there "was a shot at fixing that company." Vince said, "I don't know they are for sale." The stockholder said, "It's a 50/50 shot, they know you are loaded with money." McMahon said, "Maybe."

Funny you mention that he commented on the PG rating, said that he realises its gotten too PG so to speak, but he doubts theyll ever market an 'adult' show like in the 90s ever again.

Seriously though, apart from getting a few of TNA's better talents into a WWE ring, what would Vince buying that company really achieve at this point?

which is huge for a dvd for Sting

Pretty sure they already own most Sting footage anyway, with the WCW and NWA video libraries they have. Sure, TNA has been a big part of his career, but his prime was in the '90s, and WWE has all of that footage already.

I don't think WWE would go to the fuss of buying TNA just to take over the contracts of a couple of their younger stars and get access to Stong's TNA footage. It really wouldn't make a shred of difference to WWE as a whole if this acquisition occured.

No one is not going to buy a Sting DVD just because it doesn't have TNA footage on it.

The only sense in purchasing TNA would be to run it independently as an alternative program, and to generate some real competition. Although it would still be self-manufactured competition so even that's a stretch.

Yep, which despite the lack of star power when Vince acquired WCW, missed the boat and the goldmine that was the commercial awareness of Nitro.

WCW Nitro vs WWE Raw as opposed to SD vs Raw would have made more sense with the brand split and 2 world titles.

Don't think TNA will even get half the awareness of WCW.

More power to stroke his ego....wrestling (sorry, entertainment) domination (insert evil laugh)

TNA never even consistently rated higher than Vince's third-string ECW brand, and has never had the cult following that the original ECW did, nor the mass following that WCW did in the '90s. It would be a hollow, useless "victory" that shouldn't really satisfy the ego at all, as there was never any genuine competition between the two to begin with. For all intents and purposes, compared to WWE, TNA is an indy fed with decent funding and a tv deal.
