Went down to training today, Your typical preseason training with lots of jogged laps broken up with sprints along the wings.

Edwards looks like he's bulked up a fair bit all over.

Nahas was running with Deledio, Martin and Connors.

No Cotchin on the track.

Good to see Dimma doing laps too, trying to get in shape, sweating it up.

Hicks has added a bit of weight as has Astbury and McGuanne (not to his legs though:(), I get the impression theyre trying to trim Gus down a bit, doing a lot of laps and doesn't look as massive as usual.

We really havent had any luck what so ever with aboriginal players over the last decade...
Krakouer, Gilligan, Tambling, Taylor, Roberts, Peterson, Jon, McGrath.

The highlighted players have all been booted because of behaviour.
Roberts was very lazy so he could be added to that.
Jon & Tambling both couldnt handle the pressure.

Without being racist, facts prove that it is a very big risk drafting aboriginal players.

Lids is an absolute machine. Edwards in red, wonder what it means?
He was wearing a red reebok top over his training singlet, I couldn't see any reason why.

Lids is such a smooth mover, make it look effortless, where as Martin was struggling to keep up and was always last to finish the sprints, will learn a lot this preseason training earlier with Lids.

I also have to say that I can see why Post is a slow developer, he really looks like he's not interested in pushing himself to places others are, he's been put with Rance and Miller, Rance is an awesome trainer, so if nothing else lets hope that influences Post.

what about Polo? Meyer? Gourdis? all players who have been delisted for attitude problems and that is just going back the last 2 years.

Your just trying to isolate these issues to being exclusively indigenous when they're not.

Its about percentages - facts dont lie, Kaino is right.

To be fair, Martin was in the group with Lids, White, and Nahas... not the slowest group going around.

If it's about percentages how many Caucasian players got delisted over the same "decade" as the whopping 8 indigenous player Kaino listed?

Kaino is not right.

We have had good indigenous players in the past and we will again, we should not just give up and discriminate who we draft according to their race everyone is different and should be treated accordingly.

That was a tweet by Miller after his first week with the club. Pleased to read that the youngsters are embracing the gym.

I think we need to calm down a bit... It is the first week of preseason! Usually doesn't get too physical, just get back in shape and catch up with the boys after a couple of weeks of beers, ciggies and unhealthy foods..

Come Dec/Jan, they will be going a lot harder than they are now and thats when Posty and Martin will need to push themselves. Also, need to remember that the other guys they are training with have 3+ preseasons under their belt.

Yeah it was obvious Graham got too big and his leap and fitness were effected. Good to see he looks trimmer. Mcguane still has 4 months to get his legs bigger

Seriously hope none of our players are smoking anymore. Tuck has been known to, but I hope he's stopped.

Don't think it's that big an issue. Don't think they smoke religiously, more a smoke when drinking kind of attitude.. The big Cho smoked when he was drinking and didn't affect him...
