Yeah putting up with the general public is the price you pay…
don’t care too much about getting unders for stuff you sell.. half of it would prob get turfed next hard rubbish. even if I give it away for free it’s a very small small contribution to the recycling/environment effort.

I forgot I wrote this… but to clarify if that footballer did actually have a farm (of sorts) that did bring in an income. It would be possible for them to wash some of his footy income thru the farm to reduce tax

IIRC farmers get lots and lots of tax breaks, apparently a certain inner in Sydney suburb has one of the highest population of farmers in Australia .. so if say an AFL footballer put his primary occupation down as farmer...
best bet would be to jump on a legal forum, im sure theres one out there, but with my limited knowledge of contract law (offer and acceptance) think you in the right....

Got some shares thru work, their in my name, the have appreciated a fait bit and looking to offload them, is there a way i can put them in my wifes name in order to save tax, as she doesnt work.

it is possible, though not for your average joe schmo. very risky what happens if the AUD drops by 10c, you now owe 10%-20% more on your mortgages overnight, then if rates in the US go your hit with another rate rise....
