Poll: Will you willingly get a Covid vaccine in the next year or so?

You must admit, being vaccinated doesn't seem to be important anymore for a myriad of reasons, mainly politicians knew the economy might stay rooted for much longer if they try to enforce compliance. This has given even more fuel to anti vaxxers that they were right along. In related news, they...

    Your covid +ve experience

My missus has it, she's laid up in bed, and with school holidays I'm trying to work from home with the young bloke, not the best situation. I'm not sure my boss is keen to give me carer's leave, I looked up Fair Work and I reckon i'm entitled to it, does anyone know?

I read they were making their own vaccines so they weren't very good anyway

I don't know what you mean, what certificate?

Nah you don't need to worry about it apparently, just ask Chief and he can give you medical advice

Poll: Will you willingly get a Covid vaccine in the next year or so?

I don't know if the messaging has changed or not, clearly Omicron couldn't have spread too much quickly, plus I know a heap (including me) who got it triple jabbed. But yeah if you look at hospitalisation stats you're better off on the odds to be triple jabbed.

Poll: Will you willingly get a Covid vaccine in the next year or so?

That much would be clear by now, but getting it will give you a better chance of not getting very sick from it, was reason enough for me.

Coronavirus 2020 / Worldwide (Stats live update in OP) Part 8: This Thread is for Reasonable ON TOPIC Discussion

Which is the way it should be really. I mean initially I thought a vaccine would be years away, since they were relatively quick in developing them people could make their own choices. Though I'm not sure they exactly stopped or even slowed the spread of Omicron...

Coronavirus 2020 / Worldwide (Stats live update in OP) Part 8: This Thread is for Reasonable ON TOPIC Discussion

You and me both, it's amazing how much damage politicians were willing to do to the economy over a few cases, apparently we got to October and they basically thought **** it let it rip. Maybe they wanted to do that all along but they had no justification in a way, getting the jab at least gave...

You should be in an ok position but not as good as me and Gralin, were basically at the hookers and cocaine level

Yeah I've just had it but got the booster anyway, I figured this was going to happen

Poll: Will you willingly get a Covid vaccine in the next year or so?

Yeah I booked online and all of that, I suppose I gave my Medicare number. You’d still reckon they’d check a drivers licence or something.

Poll: Will you willingly get a Covid vaccine in the next year or so?

I asked that, she said it would be updated on myGov tonight 🤷‍♂️ EDIT: I just checked and it’s there, all good I guess

Poll: Will you willingly get a Covid vaccine in the next year or so?

I just got my booster at PriceLine, they didn't want my Medicare card or drivers licence and didn't get me to wait the 15 mins for observation, has this been the same for anyone else?

    Your covid +ve experience

It's because of people like me who have a mild case, people hang onto that more than people who have struggled with it, cause we're all afraid to get it let's be honest. Anyway I didn't think horses could get it?

    Your covid +ve experience

I went for a walk a few days ago, was warm but I sweated way more than I would have (day 8 after positive), happened at the gym too. Didn't have much energy but not quite as bad as what you experienced I think.

This was my first thought when I heard it ha ha
  19. the_interloper

    Your covid +ve experience

Yeah I've heard it can help, there must be a lot of variables though. A guy at my gym who is a lot fitter than me (he runs to the gym) got very crook apparently, and the owner who is an older fella got it mild basically like me. So who the **** knows, but yes I'd say exercise/training is always...

Sending my missus on little errands while I’m in iso, so far it’s been for a few coffees, Bunnings for heat beads and the home brew shop. She won’t go and fill the Jerry cans though, all good it means I can’t mow the lawns ha ha

I'm double jabbed but no booster, I'm not eligible until next week, booked in start of Feb.

    Your covid +ve experience

Day 4, like yesterday coughed up a bit of shit first thing and other than that basically normal, only really lasted 2 days and symptoms were pretty mild anyway. (Well that's assuming there's no curve balls to come)
  26. the_interloper

    Your covid +ve experience

All the best to you, sounds like you're at least on the improve, and glad your baby appears to be ok. My sore throat and cough are basically gone, still slight headache and sweats and lacking energy a bit but I feel about 80%, touch wood I hope it continues.

Coronavirus 2020 / Worldwide (Stats live update in OP) Part 8: This Thread is for Reasonable ON TOPIC Discussion

It's fair enough but I suppose Omicron seems to send people way less often to the hospital. I think the government is "letting it rip" because of this, if hospitals were getting overwhelmed they'd probably go for more lockdowns.
  28. the_interloper

    Your covid +ve experience

Day 2, maybe I feel slightly worse but I don't have the aches or anything yet, slight chills but really it's like a cold at this point. It actually reminds me of when I got sick in China about 7 years ago, I was a lot worse than I am now but similar symptoms.

Woke up a bit rough this morning (phlegm in the throat, headache) and went and got a test, positive. You can get the RATs from the testing sites now so got my result straight away. My son is on his way back from the beach with the missus, he's been throwing up in the car, didn't eat lunch which...
