Football is such a funny game. Liverpool played as well as any team could in the final, and dominated Real. Yet Real still pulled a win out of their ass.
Man City were well in control of their game, and hammered the crap out of the goal. Only to walk away with a draw, and ultimately a penalty...
Absolutely not.
If the away goal rule existed. Both ties would near effectively be over. Instead we get two mini finals starting off at 0-0 each. The away teams will already have an advantage being the home team on the return leg. They would have had an even bigger advantage if they were given...
No reason a couple of balls cannot be picked each minute at all, if they remove all the F around they do. A computer only takes away the integrity of it, and opens the draw to being manipulated or bought out. Current CL was fine, until UEFA decided money over quality is the only thing that matters.
Yep! Most one sided CL Final I can recall seeing. Liverpool smashed them all over the field and by far the better teams. Loads more shots at goal. Yet Real still found a way to win. Thats why they have so many CL wins. They always find a way, even when not the best team on the day. Wish we had...
Pretty decent draw with a few fresh match ups for once. Felt like some groups were on repeat in recent years.
Group F is easily the most brutal. Was hoping for a easier group for Newcastle.
Manchester City will walk through their group with ease.
Most of the other groups feel pretty balanced...
F me. Is this the Football World Cup Final or the Olympic Diving Event? Didn't want either of these teams to make the final because of their antics. Esp Argentina, made an art form of diving this cup.
Argentina looking the better team at the moment. Playing with a lot more energy.
Would love to see both Croatia and Netherlands win, but sadly feel it will be both of the South American teams celebrating at the final whistle. Hopefully some good matches from a viewer standpoint at least.
In many of the games watching Spain play, my mate made the same point as me. Spain F around with the ball to much. It feels more like a game of keepers off, than direct build ups to attacking plays. When Spain are on they can open up a game. But most of the time, its just an over possession...
Wow! This was not a resulted I was predicting, but well done to Morocco. Will go down as one of their best results in their history
Credit to their keeper, he was brilliant in his saves. But I have to question what is up with penalties this tournament? Most of the shots during the shoot outs...
No power or air in any of the penalty shots. Made it to easy for the keepers. Great saves by the Croatian keeper, but Japan didn't handle the pressure when it came to taking their kicks.
That last goal kick for us was a great effort, so close. Team can hold their head up high considering everyone including our own thought we would finish last.
Aside from the France game, we played very well defensively. If only we were more potent in the front half. Didn't really create much...
Who is defending the bottom side of the screen? Every time the last few minutes he has peeled off his guy leaving them by himself, thats four times I can count. Keeps moving towards the play where we already have a few people defending the guy with the ball
Not suprised we conceeded a goal like that at all. All tournament I have raised my voice at the screen to stop Fk'ing around the the ball near the goals. We have had some tense moments before.
Either some of our back passes have been very soft and slow, leaving our players having to step up to...
Shame about Belgium. This is pretty much the end of their golden generation and their best result in any tournament was a third placed finish I think? Will be disappointed to not have won something. They were always amongst the teams I hoped would win something.
Have to give credit to Canada...
Feels like the type of game that once we concede one, the flood gates will open. Need to just make it to half time without conceding and reset. Can't keep letting get shots off or in the box to often as we are now.
