Will people stop blindly predicting that Port have traded up the draft board just to take a player they could have traded down to get- and just because he is South Australian.

Yes but you might not have noticed him because he's so short.

Port ALWAYS go best available in the first round, so if he is the best left, they will ignore the pace of Kavanagh or Hoskin-Elliot, even though they do need pace.

Pigswoddle. No club would tell their recruiters they must get a token. Just as likely Worsfold will do a "Hey, Hey" and get Lynch and Cox to paint their faces black.

I can really only judge these things from Port's point of view, but this phantom is the best so far in predicting what Port will do. I too see Taylor going to Port at #9 and we would certainly take Butcher at #8. We will not take Tapscott at #8 or #9 but would find it hard to pass on him at #16...

If that is the top 7, I am almost certain Port will take Lucas and Butcher. And we'll be so busy partying we may forget to be at the table in time for #16.

Re: Roos Fanatic Top 50 2009 Phantom Draft. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Phantom Drafts that have Port obsessed by local boys are rubbish and lose all credibility for me. If #8 and #9 went to Carlton there is no way anyone would be considering Tapscott or Panos with those picks.

Hate the way every stupid Phantom Draft has Port picking up a South Australian everyone else wouldn't look at for another 10 picks just so Port can send him a bus ticket to get to training instead of a plane ticket. Our captain is from WA ffs. Port will pick the best available at #8.
