That looks like a relatively cushy fixture. The one downside is we only get five "home" games, but we do get another one in Adelaide when we play Port at Alberton. Also, we play two of the other "big four" teams (Melbourne, Kangaroos) at home, although we do have Brisbane away. We miss two of...
I didn't realise Freo had delisted her. She was a permanent fixture in our side that has been regularly pushing deep in finals, so hard to imagine she couldn't make their side unless she went drastically backwards.
I wonder if we'll look to take her again? Unless Port take her first?
Geez, that's tragic, especially for such a super talent :( It feels so wrong that players are doing ACLs in matches before they even begin their first preseason.
Sam Wright is Collingwood's new senior coach.

Probably? They're clearly looking at moving to a higher tier and keeping their options open.
If we really want to keep them, I'm sure we probably can, but it will mean someone else gets less.
I think our ability to keep so many good players on lower tiers will depend on us showing them we are...
Only slightly surprising one there is us signing Martin until 2025. If she can get back to her 2021 form she's a weapon, but we have struggled to find a spot she can consistently impact in. I would have had her in the "at risk of delisting" category for next year, along with Munyard, Varnhagen...
Erin Phillips taking on a part-time role in the AFL's footy ops department.

Sarah Allan has been vice captain for a while, my guess is she'll get the nod. Marinoff the other likely option. Could even go with the two of them as co-captains.
Lol, Amy has a Wikipedia page which lists "Employee of the Month at Circet January 2023" among her honours.
Here's her highlights package, but it's all Gaelic football:
Nice video of Hatchard and Sarah Allan surprising Boileau moments after she was drafted. Apparently Hatchard is her favourite player :)
Also on the Crows AFLW Twitter account, apparently Lily was a Crows fan growing up? Or at least, a photo exists of her in a Crows shirt.
Pretty sure it was Biddell's idea for the three of them to try out at Westies, but certainly, the three of them coming to Adelaide Uni together and deciding on a whim to try out was very important to us. Crazy to think that none of the three had even played football competitively prior to 2018...
At least Varnhagen actually played a decent match this year.
Pretty crazy how she was the first of the Button/Martin/Biddell trio to get drafted, and yet the first to have the game move past her.
Thanks for everything Hannah! She goes out a dual premiership player, that's more than most...
I don't understand the salary comments. The salaries are still on tiered payments, every club pays the exact same salary per tier, other than your top two players. Unless they're saying that Port's new draftees are immediately going on higher tiers than most of the rest of the playing group...
Yes, had a nice bag of tricks in those highlights! Hopefully they will translate to AFLW level.
I guess Brisbane had a premiership-capable side already so simply didn't need her?
Such a shame that this year SA had such a great crop of juniors, probably six players in the top ten in the country, and we only got one of them. Oh well, picking for needs is important.
Agreed that Tarlinton is a McKinnon replacement. Good coverage in the ruck and hey, who knows, she might...
It's a good height for a midfielder (Marinoff and Jones 169cm, Kelly 171cm, going back a bit Gibson and Gum were 170cm) but a bit in-between as a forward. Mind you if speed is a weapon for her, she could be another player like Jones.
Lily Tarlinton from Queensland. 186cm forward, that would make her one of the tallest forwards in the league. Presumably she could pinch hit in the ruck too.
"Mature age" selection at 21 years old.
