Is there anywhere we can see a breakdown of all players def/mid/fwd time? Be curious how Dawson is tracking as his CBA numbers aren't that high and he's certainly pushed forward a bit.
Has anyone worked out how to get rid of that stupid "winner Winner - Chicken Dinner" pop up on every single page? Been on-going for a couple of weeks now.
Yeah seems to be the best way to go about things now (well since 30 trades were introduced). This way you leave yourself the best chance to be in a running to win it by matching with everyone early and hopefully have some trades in hand to take care of any donuts.
I think with 2-3 weeks out I...
Nah that's with FFC - our public/open league managed to win it as well which was nice.
Did see one EDT league finish in the top 20 so they must still be around, unsure of how active/how many of them play these days though. AFL Fantasy does nothing for me at all, all they managed to do was...
Or just get a big enough lead that the gap can't be closed in the final round :p
Interesting thing with the past couple of seasons is that it's actually paid off to have some trades handy in the past few rounds. The few seasons before that the best strategy was going all out early as there was...
Did I hear correctly you guys were 2k down in the final round? Very solid effort to make up over 100 points per team over whoever was ahead :thumbsu:
Boards have done a complete flip, DT board is the silent one - think Fantasy/RDT splitting split up a lot of the community with that and pushed...
I think they're planning on round 1 being done in one week (as it should) rather than taking the two weeks to do as it has in the past. I think/assume the season starts 1 week later than usual, so assuming round 1 is like the rest of the rounds then the three week byes will probably stay...
I think back when it was 20 trades a year you were rewarded far more for your initial side because their value was so much higher meaning anyone that had to blow a couple of trades early to grab the guys they missed out on would feel it late in the season when these few trades were used to...
At the same time, it should also encourage posters to add as much as they can to the board at the chance of possibly joining the group later down the track and share opinions with other like minded people who are willing to put in as much time.
Re: Buckley in as Caoch, yesterday we saw Swan get thrashed , does that change SC Tactics ?
No Didak spud? ;)
I must say, I am tempted to avoid Swan altogether next year because we have seen him at his best for a few years now under Malthouse. At best, he will maintain that under Buckley but...
Congratulations on taking out the big prize!
Great to have a BF regular who posts quiet often win it! What makes it better is he hasn't gone into hiding when he has been sitting on top but giving us weekly updates to let us know which has been all the better for those of us who have been...
Re: Rivalries & Bets
Yeah it's a good point, I know I jumped on Tapscott and Libba after a couple of games each thinking they both looked the goods but really they were quiet disappointing in the end. I guess it changes every season though, what influenced me to jump on these guys was my...
Re: Rivalries & Bets
Yeah I think he shocked many people when he came out scoring as he did. I know I attended the last two pre season matches in which he played in and for both matches he was a sub and he was kicking some shocking kicks so personally I didn't think he was best 22 material but...
Re: Rivalries & Bets
I think there were pretty good reasons for this due to ROK having a groin reconstruction over the pre season which I doubt many of us had of heard of before which put many of us off him. He did start strong which I didn't expect although he dropped off for a little after...
Re: Rivalries & Bets
Thought I'd better let Impromptu know that Dylan's FFC is coming for him!
I am only 1,822 points behind him at the moment but when you consider our recent team averages (1 game) mine is sitting at 2,714 to his 2,576 which means I am up by 138 points.
Now you add on...
Re: Rivalries & Bets
:D Hahaha
I am trying my best, thought I would upgrade Cotchin to Ablett this week to gain a few extra points yet that didn't quiet go to plan... :p
Re: Rivalries & Bets
Happy FFC didn't take up this one at this stage!
We do have a secret weapon in place to get back to our form of the 2010 season and I can reveal what it is - remove my team from the league!
So be ready for FFC to bounce back stronger then ever next season. :p
Re: Rivalries & Bets
Looks like this will be one of the very few weeks in the year where it kinda pays off not to have Swan in my side (not that a 106 score is bad, but compared to his 147 avg, I might make some ground for a change...):p
Re: League Announcement: 2010 Final Ladders/Scores Required.
Sorry to get you off topic but how did you manage to get a screen grab of your league and it says that no one is online from that group?
There are too many variables to be able to work out what the 'perfect' starting team and trades would be. The cashing and timing with point value would make it too hard to figure out I think.
Scotland, Gilbert, Enright, Duffield
Gilbee is alright value as well but a bit more risky since he can cop tags and goes missing for periods but when his firing his firing.
atm I would say it is pretty good, he was smashing it in the sanfl which means he earned his spot in the side. He is currently playing in the backline which is not his perfered position but there were good reports for him in the first match (not so sure about the second).
I still think Medhurst is a good pick in SC, he is a little cheaper then Danger but I can see them both getting to around the same average in the end. Medhurst only has one good season to date but what he did that season is not unachievable again, if you look back to his earlier days he has...
