Well I didn't see a trade going down considering he had his best game ever in a final and that I thought he was contracted until 2011. If he is uncontracted at the end of 2010 then yeah I can now see us making a play for him and trying to milk him at a cheap price.

I think it's fair to say that you have never seen Salter play. He basically had a 5 goal average in the SANFL was easily leading that leagues in total goals only to be played in defense when he played at AFL level. Prior to when he wasn't played in defense he averaged 2 goals a game for AFL...

tbh I think Jacobs for Salter is as even as it can get. Backup ruckman who can't get a game that dominates the 2s for a key forward (or defender) who can't get a game but dominates the 2s.

You would think so but nope. Our coaching staff have said that they don't think Salter will make it at AFL level as a forward (despite him easily leading the SANFL in goalkicking when he's playing and averaging 2 goals a game at AFL before 2010 - he has been used in defense since).

It's all fine and such to say that you don't want Salopek or Knights but that doesn't lessen their trade value because you don't want them. There are other Victorian clubs that Sal and Knights can go too. I wouldn't be surprised to see Salopek being dealt to Essendon at the same time as Port...
