#6 Luke Jackson - Going west (life is peaceful there)

And exactly how to you plan to acquire said milk?

#6 Luke Jackson - Going west (life is peaceful there)

I'm not too upset about Luke. He helped us win a flag, that eases the pain - a lot. Bit disappointed by the deal that was struck, but that's on us, not him. The only real thing I take out of this is that Luke is a massive baby who wanted to go home to mummy.

He's at least 50% dumber now than when he was interviewed for the draft.

Seems that way. Kinda stupid though. Naita is finished - they really should have at least kept the door open for Jackson, or at least act as though they were so that Freo overpay for him. The Eagles don't do poker too well.

I did some stuff once, but can't be bothered describing it. Some of it was good stuff though.

#4 James Harmes – traded to Bulldogs. Thanks for 'that' kick. You know the one.

I see Jesse Hogan went back home for the weekend again...

Damn, that's so sad. Poor Harley. RIP.

#26 Sam Weideman - traded to Essendon. Adieu

I think there's an element of this, but I'm also not unhappy because I think with time he'll become more reliable and will start to take over Ben Brown's role as he winds down.

#26 Sam Weideman - traded to Essendon. Adieu

Your wish came true. It's great being the worst 8-0 team. Imagine how good we could be if we played well.

Thanks a lot, ya son of a bitch! (Type 1 diabetic here)

#14 Michael Hibberd – retired. Thank you Pig ❤️

Damn, if only he'd stayed at home like we're supposed to. Maybe being housebound is making some people take risks they wouldn't ordinarily take (not the fishing part, but the poor conditions). Condolences to Hibbo, that's really sad.

That's unfair - he used to drink some water sometimes too.

I just wanted to say that I don't know what to think about this, and I have nothing useful to contribute to this discussion. Thank-you.

#4 James Harmes – traded to Bulldogs. Thanks for 'that' kick. You know the one.

Completely depends on what he's being paid across those extra 4 years (he's still got one more year on his exisiting contract). If we are getting him for unders, it's not a bad deal - even if he isn't a top 5 player, although he might well be. He's exactly the kind of guy we would probably lose...

#4 James Harmes – traded to Bulldogs. Thanks for 'that' kick. You know the one.

That was my take on it too. If he's considered a reliable longterm prospect, locking him in at a lower rate for a longer time provides the benefit of more salary cap certainty, and more cap space. It's our version of what actual good teams do in keeping talent for lower than market rate. And if...

Not sort of, it's exactly like that. That analogy is apt - APT!

Especially with Steven May riding his ass every week... :D

#21 - Braydon Preuss - Dropping bombs from outside 50 cause that's what ruckmen do

Still not necessarily a waste to develop a ruck. There's always a chance it works out and you keep him, but even if you don't keep him, you will probably get something for him in a trade situation - maybe another player you need. And there's nothing stopping you from picking up a ruckman too. If...

#21 - Braydon Preuss - Dropping bombs from outside 50 cause that's what ruckmen do

I think we're like a recovering alcoholic. We're definitely getting our act together, going to our meetings, and we're on the right track, but we're prone to the occasional relapse...

#21 - Braydon Preuss - Dropping bombs from outside 50 cause that's what ruckmen do

Yeah, that's a fair call. It's not like Hawthorn ever developed a ruckman, they just swoop in and grab em when they're ready.

#21 - Braydon Preuss - Dropping bombs from outside 50 cause that's what ruckmen do

I assume you're taking the piss a little there, considering we developed Gawn and even saw him through a couple of knee ops. That would make us the biggest dickheads to ever develop the premier ruckman in the comp. ;)

Yeah, I've been a teacher, performer and session musician since I finished my studies. But I've also done other stuff like gardening, website design, home renovation. Not because you can't make money from music, but because I go crazy if I don't mix up my routine regularly. But music has been...

I do, but I look for opportunities to bust out Asturias or El Colibri... And no, there are no photos of me without a guitar - well, there is one, but there's a piano in it...

No, it isn't. Guitar is played by every man and his dog, really. So people who pursue it to a really high level often blend into the crowd.

I'm sorry, I seem to have touched a sensitive topic. That was not my intention. I assumed that you were willing to discuss it, but I'm happy to respect your boundaries on this. I know how sensitive this topic can be. Peace.
