Guess so. He divides opinion but imo he has been better at finding the ball and running hard to beat taggers the last year and a bit.
He has a few bad games but no more inconsistent than any other small outside player.
Hes struggling with the running load because you guys train harder than...
We have had a problem with running half backs for a long time. For whatever reason Choco and Primus have tried midfielders and forwards there instead of actually recruiting half backs with late picks.
P.Burgoyne, Pettigrew, Salopek, etc. Some of them looked ok on the stat sheet but none were...
I doubt he has had a proper off-season program since 2007 so nothing new there. Definitely would not have had a tailor made training program.
Still he has had years in the system so it wont take him long to get up to speed.
R.Lyon is a good coach, he wont play Pearce in defence.
Yes.
Pearce is fast but he doesn't use it. He is more a long kicking player and he is usually accurate. Doesn't get a whole lot of easy 1-2 handballs, just gets the ball and picks out an option and kicks it. He is a good get for you guys.
Only risk is he slacks off now that he has his big contract...
You guys have been half decent with the ball in hand... some ok pieces of play. It looks like when the Crows have the ball too many guys are being drawn to the ball carrier and they aren't sticking tackles.
He has brain fades in defence and sometimes takes too long to get rid of it. Not a good full-time option back there but still handy if having trouble getting it out of defence.
He chases and gut runs but he can't stick a tackle the way a Rioli or Davey can. He is not a lazy player.
Port aren't...
Not sure why he would want to come back to Adelaide cept to be with mates... I'd call bs on this. He will get more opportunities at Richmond and Freo will get a better trade.
Dunno.
He had major surgery last year and spent most of the pre-season recovering from it. Lost the vice captaincy at the start of this year so I guess the coaches knew he would be in and out of the team.
Last few weeks he has played well but we haven't recalled him.
When fit he is the best...
Yep. Makes sense.
He has ability no doubt. Is he an AFL quality player? We'll have to wait and see.
I'm just confused that we went after Andrew Walker when someone that could kick was available.
Thanks for the responses guys.
Not an entirely convincing response... I think they'd be happy to have guy who can have a Barlow type impact and 25 is not old at all. They have players his age and older including spuds like D.Harris, J.Fraser and stars like Ablett.
That would make sense. There are only so many spots on a...
Ok so I'm curious about this guy.
Port made a play for Andrew Walker from the Blues in trade week, as a Krakouer run and carry HBF replacement. This guy can kick so he already sounds infinitely better to me.
One question:
If he had all the tools to be a gun AFL player, instead of keeping...
Good points...
You probably didn't catch his worst game either. He has had a bad season, true, but if he can fix himself off field the onfield stuff willl start working for him again.
Would be a good cheap pick up but only for a team that is ready to challenge or for someone like Worsfold to...
Your sources are as reliable as my brothers mothers cousin. (Mundy to Essendon straight swap for Monfries)
His defensive pressure is not a problem... Has had minor discipline issues on and off field this year but that could fix itself up if he moves closer to family.
How can you know that without going to a game and seeing him play?
I can't see Freo being too interested unless they see themselves as contenders next year, do you have a replacement for Tarrant?
Not a bad player :thumbsu:
(from what ive seen, i'll admit that isnt much, the game he played against Adelaide last year was enjoyable though:p)
Why the hell hasnt he broken into your best 22 (with all players fit) yet!
Happy B day Drummy :thumbsu:
