Willing to bet on something that's impossible to determine... Nice one.
It would have been the same conclusion. It probably wouldn't be brought up for discussion because neither keeper has been turfing catches all summer whilst wearing the baggy green.
Yes, completely situational.
The only indicator of the quality of a keeper for stats would be a "difficult catch" stat, an "easy catch dropped" stat and a "difficult take to deny byes" stat.
Those obviously would be to someone's discretion.
I've only seen him keep in the hit and giggle competition. He didn't appear to have concrete in his boots. Not easy to tell in that silly comp but I saw good movement and good hands. If he values his wicket and is level-headed enough not to make stupid gestures to the crowd when taking...
Were you comfortable at 4/27? A lead of just 78 and only the tail remaining.
If the answer is no, as it should be, then it wasn't a comfortable win.
Almost every test match is won with relative ease at the end, i.e. cleaning up the tail. That doesn't make it a comfortable win overall...

I'm rarely if ever one to back those two buffoons but the criticism of Trott was justified. Ran out his skipper and then failed to get on with it. Scored far too slowly and ultimately cost England a better chance of getting a more defendable score.
Needs to work on his running between wickets, 3 run outs in a series is beyond belief. Running Katich out for a diamond duck which quickly led to 3 wickets for 2 runs in Adelaide was the first nail in Australia's Ashes reclamation coffin.
Not making a big score in 7 good starts during the...
