The thing with Jack is he doesnt give up even when beaten. The smothers he does put others more supposedly skilled to shame. If some of the other blokes had a crack like Jack they would be world beaters but we have too many who are getting a game for the sake of it sadly

My issue with him was always running himself into trouble rather than backing himself to keep going. This might sound funny but I think the weight of expectation of giving him the No18 jumper was always way too high for him and the supporters and he never lived up to it.
