Net result was Shiel + Caldwell for a first + a second
Just saying
(Caldwell was the pick we gave to GWS as one of the two firsts)

Not really. One is a floating forward, the other a key back. Brown was vying with young guys like Laverde, Begley rqther than the common misconception he's battling it out with Daniher, McKErnan, Stewart.
Hartley is a key back. Nothing to do with Brown
Bad luck last night guys. Was such an emotional roller coaster and the result was a culmination of 4 - 5 years of pain and hurt we as Essendon supporters have felt and copped on a weekly basis.
The questions on us were answered in a big way me thinks, the work rate from guys like Watson...
Tom Mitchell played his first full (NEAFL) game last week, two prior were restricted.
Doubt he is not as good as Jake Lloyd, Dean Towers, George Hewett, Harry Cunningham who have all played ahead of him in the past month
Didn't Hallahan win the JJ Liston Trophy as the league best and fairest in the VFL, the second best competition in the land ?
Seen him for years and he can seriously play.
just get annoyed that people have this hope in there own minds that this will happen.
Listen to most media outlets and they all agree that sanctions will NOT be handed down.
What is holding Lowden and to a lesser extent Grimley who has been impressive in stints in his three games from becoming best 22 players?
I realise that Bailey is your numero uno, and Ceglar has been used in his absence, whilst Roughead is the best 22 #2. Why can't these other guys break into...
Guess the 8 people who liked my initial post are nuffties then. (Making rational comments - had more likes than any witty put down made by a Hawks poster might I add).
It mustn't be all that bad because you keep calling me back by quoting my posts :p
Essendon supporters saw the Roughead act as weak and a dive and. For it to then seep out that Melksham had been reported riled a few Essendon supporters up. That's why they would have been booing.
Really? Your the one trying to go on with it. Have a look at your responses. If my initial response was rubbish then why did 8 posters like my initial post congratulating the win? (I guess Messenger wouldn't know to much despite having 18,000posts).
If you don't like my posts, don't read...
Trying to have a civilized conversation but it seems like it is out of the question to come on here and do so. Have I had a reasonable response yet? Don't think so.. :/
If that was a swipe at me, I'm happy to go to the masses and ask who's outs were bigger.. It'll only end in bagging out of Essendon. Sums up the BF group think really.
Just on the roughy 'hit', I'd be bitterly disappointed if he got suspended.. Not going into specifics because the one eye is...
It was heat in the moment and if you checked in the post when I did sing your pauses that I was watching the replay and admit you we're the better team.
So your not really a good detective are you?
I'll gladly watch Geelong beat you in the big dance again :p
That is if you make it ;)
I'd say that Jobe, Fletcher would surpass Burgoyne and Birchall whilst Winderlich and Gumby (who should have played instead of Joe Daniher) would be close enough to Suckling and Schoenmakes. Davey and would trail Shiels however Merret surpasses Woodward (sp?)
So yeah, they were massive for us...
Good morning guys
Just checking in to say that you were a far superior team on the night. We may have been missing several of our best players, but the way you dismantled any form of game plan we had was astounding and showed us the benchmark we need to reach to become a formidable power...
The VFL is a lost cause.
As someone said, there is too much damage to go back on now, it doesnt look like a reserves competition will ever prosper alongside the VFL (well, not in Victoria anyways)..
Have seen a few games of young Jordan Lisle and me thinks that when he is finally played in position (in defence) then he could be that 'monster defender' you guys are talking about.
Him and Gilham would be a handy combination with Stratton as that third tall defender allowing Gibson to play...
Great game tonight guys, really played like an 'almost' finals like intensity.
Was great to see Buddy do what he does best, demand the ball and put his hand up and puff the chest out, take the game on and dominate.. I am just like everyone else supporting other clubs, "god I wish Buddy was on...
HaHa sounds good :D:D:D:D
I think Schoey will be good up forward though, good contested mark, pretty smart around the F50 and has good skills.. Would like to see him in a Brad Johnson 3rd tall (up forward though, not sure if you were reffering to defence or forward though??) role..
At last, someone who knows a bit about some players background..
Lisle was a true CHB in his underage days and did it with aplomb even being named CHB in the U/18 AA team whilst Schoenmakers was named CHF in the same AA team..
I do not think you guys need defenders at all really..
Will wait...
