The Advertiser put out a SOO team in 2016 or 2017 which included Robbie Gray, the undrafted Jack Lukosius, and some SANFL 'star' player.
Nice change to have some local talent coming through now.
Would have thought you almost need Thilthorpe in the team, might be a long year for O'Brien without proper ruck support. Ladhams destroyed him after Lycett wore him down.
I hear lots of players are unhappy with the big $$$ being paid to Rockliff abnd in particular Motlop. Think we are going to struggle next year to be honest and lose a lot of good players next off season.
100% correct! Well reasoned argument as usual!
My sources at PAFC say there has been a massive falling out between Ryder and the club re: the club lying about Ryder being racially abused. As a result Ryder will not play this week, might not play ever again. I guess we'll know for sure tomorrow...
Good work taking Dylan to task on his homophobic views guys. Some very bright sparks on this board!
I have been too scared to speak up about this on the Port board because - as well all know - the moderators delete anything that goes against their beliefs.
You've lost Tippett and Johncock. Callinan and Porplyzia cant contribute anymore. 4 of your 5 important goalkickers from 2012 gone + Walker has done an LTI.
Thompson was your 2nd or 3rd best mid and he is almost done. Other mids not coming on and need to be replaced. Rutten almost done.
2...
Nah, Adelaide will be fighting it out with the Dogs for spoons over the next 5 or so years. GC and GWS will overtake pretty quick.
Not trolling, just the reality of missing out on 2 years of drafting and losing a lot of best 22 players at the same time. You would have to pull off some miracles...
You are about to get the license back, why would you want to tie yourself to the SANFL for another 15 years?
I said it on the Port board, Sydney play in a park league and that doesn't stop them from developing talent. Tom Michell got something like 40 touches a game before he came into the AFL...
Only need 2 years in the Melb system to go from potential star to delist material. Probably smart by his management to get a 3rd year.
Did you follow the Kurt Tippett saga at all?
You guys have probably been hurt by this more than Melbourne have... Connolly is a career loser and the AFL will end up having to pay Melbournes fine anyway.
Seems about right.
No draft penalties - what a joke.
You're already half way there and you haven't been found guilty yet.
Carlton lost picks in 2 drafts? If Adelaide get hit with a year tomorrow that will be 2 drafts missed. Only difference is that the picks Carlton lost were higher and Adelaide can still bring players in through free agency.
EQ is not the only one reporting it and I would say with Adelaide already giving up draft picks they are probably not going to fight the AFL here and instead looking at damage control.
EQs article is as balanced as it can be imo. It even offers excuses for what Triggy and co. have allegedly done.
With the get out clause in Tippetts contract and if it is true that Triggy and co. are sending emails with "What we are doing is against the rules so please delete this" at the end...
I read that article too. I don't think Jesper Ftsasjhdfqawsaassafjh was trying to be sensationalist he is just a bad writer.
What I think he is trying to say is that taking 4 years of draft picks is the max penalty the AFL can dish out to clubs. (I read that somewhere, cant remember where)...
We haven't bottomed out. Our lowest picks have been 4 in 08 (Hartlett) and 6 last year (Wingard).
Melbourne have bottomed out. Adelaide are looking a lot better than Melbourne.
