Re the non advantage, the umpire made the wrong call but he made it instantly (not after the goal), the doggies player could have fumbled the ball or been tackled then they wouldn't be complaining, they would have gladly taken their free kick 60m out.
Yep, Ricky really didn't do a lot wrong in the last 3 years and he would be icing on the cake now that the team is good.
Not that I know the full story but from the outside I believe he really was hard done by selection wise during those 3 years.
How is that an advantage on the field?
Bellchambers would have fantastic trade value, and in reality, we don't need him. These days you really want one gun ruckman and a forward who can pinch hit (20-30%) ruck time. David Hille or Daniher fit that perfectly, with Paddy getting to play in the...
There is some sort rivalry there, if you were an Essendon supporter through the 90s and early 2000s you would have despised the Roos. That doesn't dissapear over night.
Re: Lovett wants to come back "home" [Update: EFC says "no thanks"]
He is probably in the top 3 kicks I've seen at Essendon in my 16 years watching football.
I understand because of his actions off field why people don't want him at the club, but to question him on field? He is a...
Re: Lovett wants to come back "home" [Update: EFC says "no thanks"]
I have no doubt that he would be best 22.
Players like Lovett are more the icing on the cake than the workhorse, now that we are a better side with a team full of workhorses, a player like Lovett could be the difference...
Tom Bellchambers is very aggressive and seems to be first in whenever there is any trouble. Combine this with his size and strength and I feel he is going to be very important in looking after the smaller lads.
You don't need DE%, knowledge of somebody's junior career, to wait until somebody has played over 50 games, etc. Sometime you just watch the game and you can tell that a player is very very average, David Myers is one of those very very average players.
hahaha so many strangers hugging and high fiving, I've never seen anything like it. I wanted to leave with 5 mins to go, thank god my Collingwood supporting ex made me stay. Easily the craziest I've ever seen a crowd go.
Re: List Management thread Mk II
I wouldn't be shocked if we delisted Still. He is probably the worst kick on our list and is behind a lot of players that play his position.
Not sure what some of you guys are on, Mcphee has had a good 2nd half of the year and at the moment he is one of the best players in a final. He is the big winner, 3 year contract and he gets to play for a good team instead of us.
Re: Team V Collingwood
Hooker gave away 2 free kicks in the first quarter, he gifted Reiwoldt the easiest of goals.
Houli's first half was outstanding, clearly our best player to half time, I'm pretty sure that was when the game was there to be won.
We have no idea, 2 weeks ago he was in our best 4 against St Kilda. One week later he plays average along with 20 mates and he is dropped.
Our coach has no idea what he is doing, 3 years in to his contract and he is still clueless to who our best 22 are.
Re: Team V Collingwood
D!CK!
Houli could have easily polled votes in that game.
Garry Lyon had him in the best 3. He was our best player in the first half.
Hooker was NOT better than Houli that night.
