I'd definitely take that.
Probably depends on the longevity of Nank and how his body holds up, but there's definitely the need to chase up another ruckman if someone like Samson Ryan doesn't quite get there. Naismith is a stop-gap measure, and losing Soldo has left a hole in that development...
I reckon he's well qualified.
The other alternative is someone who's not necessarily the one captain, but a group of players who can set the culture early. That's critical to the foundation of the team.
Heading to Dublin, then Scotland driving down to London, train to France, fly to Italy and Greece and then fly home.
So 6 countries in about 5.5 weeks overall.
New to this board, and joined the BigFooty Chess AFL League, but wondering is there a regular chess 'club' that we all play casual games as well as the league? :)
This sounds fun!
Also, I'll be in Europe for 6 weeks from May-June so I will feel your pain. Not sure how I'll go with having to set a lineup by Wednesday night in real time. :D
Gotta remember that while the stadium is being designed for the Devils, they won't be the only tenant using it. And for that alone, it'll get used 7-11 times a year there.
Have to think outside the box with larger events coming down too. 23k will be fine for those, but for footy it's going to...
That will pay for 10-15 new employees for a year.
People just want to be a part of something and love a bandwagon. The next phase is about conversion to higher models of membership.
Yeah, I'll be buying one too, most likely an interstate membership.
Whenever the day comes that I move back to Tas though, I just hope there's not a system of having to buy a reserved seat for every season (like NBL) where you can't get a ticket to a game, despite having been a member for 5-10...
I get that it's an impressive number, but let's be real about it. They've sold 82k sticker packs. When 10% of the people realise their founding membership doesn't equate to anything more than stickers and an email, they'll throw a fit at not understanding they have to pay for an actual...
Yeah it should've been a lot closer. Kicks, marks and frees for/ag were all super tight. Could've gone either way.
On the other hand, my BFDL team got absolutely smoked 8-1!
Was thinking of going, but I'd like to know a few more details other than some corporate tie-in to the AFL patting themselves on the back a lifeless concrete cauldron.
