Sorry for commenting, but sick and tired of seeing the same crap week in week out (on the field, on this board) - but its about time we had a good look at our 'midfield', and no I am not including someone like Clancee (who it needs to be remembered is a redrafted rookie) or a teenager like Neele...
Graham Jetta!! Should have rookied him last year when we could have. I suspect there may be a few other clubs looking at him this year after last years season and GF, and that he will probably win this years SDFC F & B. I wish the two local clubs (in particular Freo) would have a better look at...
Given Davis's age, you would want a very thorough medical to avoid a repeat of 'Freo can be a retirement home and will provide an injury payout' like we did with a certain former imported player.
We still are undone by the same game plan used against us since almost day one. Opposition play a spare man in defence, which allows our players to be unacountable ie which player am I on again - don't know so I will not bother manning up on anyone; the ball is then run up the ground and/or...
Tarrant has shown his 'Quality'. Freo should do the following:
1. Let him go to the draft like a little sookie boy.
2. First game next year, 'help' him into retirement with a few tackles to the knees. Karma will be a b@tch!!!
3. Have an anti-Connors bonus for any player on the list, say 15K to...
Graeme Jetta from Swans and Kane Mitchell from Tigers are both worth a look. Also, Dobson (I think) from East Perth. Young tagger who did a great job on AK earlier in the year.
Hansen would be a different proposition at a club with a midfield!! He might be an Eagle, but don't be blinded by that. We would be a better player at the Dockers (no flack for this, just stating what would be true )Dockers sadly lack another key forward and Mayne is not the answer, he is a...
After watching Swans against East Perth today, might be worth having a look at Sampey from East Perth as a Grover replacement. Did very well against the odds. Also, Kane Mitchell from Claremont might be worth a look for the midfield as a rookie. Runs all day and is tough for a Claremont player...
If he ends up at Collingwood, and they don't want to give up a decent draft pick, how about a homesick youngster like Jarrod Blight. Hasn't played a senior game for them yet, but has great promise. Can see him doing a similar jod to Roberton.
Not all supporters of other clubs don't like Armfield. Was very disappointed when Freo didn't draft him, like I am when any SDFC player is overlooked by Perth based clubs. Watched almost all of his WAFL games and enjoyed every one.
Reason I watch Carton games is to watch the SDFC boys you have...
Agree about Ninyette and Jetta (wished he had a bit more of his brothers pace, but he does OK).
Geaps had a shocker - so we must have looked at how he played differently.
Seem to remember him taking someone high a few years ago at Basso, with a stretcher being needed.
As far as I know, Pratt went into the book. I would call it protecting yourself. Will be interesting to see if any other reports were made, as I said, both Chidzey and Swift should be in there as...
Before any Claremont nambies get on here about todays game - Swift and Chidzey should both be in the book for head high late tackles, and karma has finally found Rudeforth!!
Hopefully we can get past East Perth next week and settle things at Subi.
Obviously beg to differ. Hasn't been beaten often this year in my opinion. Vital part of the Black Ducks backline, along with Casserly. But, can see how you would think that.
I think it is fairly obvious why Potente has been given the number 15 jumper (Just coincidence with username!!!). Guts and determination personified. If both local clubs are looking at mature age players, Tallan Ames has been outstanding in the backline all year.
