    Football scholarships in Perth

Scholorships come in at Year 11 ..... after the bodies have grown. Buddy was a budding musician ........ At Year 7, the bodies are too immature - a bit of kick and giggle. All changes in Year 11 - gets very serious Look at Scotch last year - good team, well coached.

    Scholarships to elite schools

Sound like SANFL has to compete with the private schools for players - that is hard. Suspect that this is to do with the ageing of the final years of school in ViC/SA The WA school system is a year earlier (up to next year) - so the PSA players don't fully compete with the Colts. Year 12 PSA...

Is the TAC Cup destroying Local Football Clubs?

Surely TAC is a step above club footy. This is what the lads want to play. Don't think that it will kill local football

    Live comments regarding the PSD

Thanks for the coverage - AFL site is useless. Kane Mitchell is a popular name - hope that they both got the right ones. Kilkenny to Hawks ..... what will be his game name? Pint?

At 1/2 way, Hale have it sewn up  http://www.psa.wa.edu.au/?page_id=843 But of more interest is how did Aquinas beat Hale in the Rugby. Hale team = State Team (so maybe they were on state duty). Great win though

    U15's State sides 2011

Looks like Cody Grace, Connor Wilkinson, Chris Fims and Shayne Hille (and Will Colreavy in the 2's) have the eye of the WA coaches. Reports are at http://www.stateschoolboys.com.au/2011/index2011.html Good close win over Vic Country Next game is WA1 vs WA2...

    School Football Scholarships

The scholarships go out after the 15's (for years 11 & 12) By that stage, the numbers are significantly reducing. Not sure of a plunder, but an opportunity to play at a higher level. The representative sides are a similar aspect. It is just too hard for young bodies to play club and rep...

    School Football Scholarships

The original question was is it right or wrong? Is it wrong to give a good sportsman a chance to go to a good school and maybe better themselves and raise the standard of the game. Maybe it is wrong that the boys that have been playing in the team for the previous 4 years do not get a look in...

    Football scholarships in Perth

Gee this thread has kept on going .... after what was originally a bit of trolling? The inclusion of the scholarship boys (and maybe they are not? Who knows? Who cares?) is a great way to keep the PSA competition as a premier competition in WA. In the same way, the coaching of the PSA teams...

Easy 15's State Schoolboys and 16's State (and old boys in the Wheatbelt are always on the lookout). What age is your lad?

    Under 15 State Squad

Final tomorrow - WA 1 vs. Vic VC won by 6 during the week, but with home ground advantage, hopefully WA1 will get there. Good luck WA1.

Plays for Hale in PSA. Hale is coming first by a wide margin. http://www.hale.wa.edu.au/sport/footy/Pages/default.aspx Dont think that he is playing 18's? That may be good, given result against SA last week. Possibly will be picked up as an 18 next year. Tom...

    School Football Scholarships

Seem to be offered to unaffiliated boys who do well in the 15's Schoolboys - a very good reward!

    Under 15 State Squad

Only WA and NT playing this year The rest are not coming ..... too far to go!!!! Look at the problems that Collingwood has in going outside Melbourne. :)

    PSA football

Good luck if you can get $1.37 .... More like $1.02 with two Alcocks, Justin Monaco and the undefeated 12's ...... and the softer start to the season. Depending on the Aquinas first 3 games (hear that GG have some very good players), Round 4 will be a beauty.

    PSA football

All begins this weekend http://www.sportingpulse.com/comp_info.cgi?c=0-5018-0-110619-0&a=FIXTURE&pool=0&round=0 Aquinas, Hale, Trinity, Wesley - know that all have good up and coming players. The thought is that Aquinas will be the ones to beat. But as Mum said Hale have a good team this...

    PSA football

Scratch matches should be banned !!! They give a false expectation for the remainder of the season (or affect morale), and/or players injure themselves trying to square up on previous season issues (or trying to impress coaches) for no points. No more scratch matches.:)

    PSA football

I'll bite mum ...... I am sure that Paul will prepare them well. It will be a big 4 weeks for Hale ...... Scotch, Trinity, Wesley and Aquinas - will be a test of the depth...
